How are you?
[Cyan looks at the video feed on the MIRApad for a few moments, unsure how to respond. Eventually, she cleans up the remnants of her dinner and prepares to vacate the cafeteria. There wasn't much for her here right now, anyway.]
"I'll be honest, ID Blue from- what team number are you...? Ah, the readout says group 89. I think I'd be a lot happier back on Polus right now, categorizing more species and comparing fossils to samples. But I can't- shouldn't leave HQ. Not until we know more. It wouldn't be responsible or safe."
[Cyan picks up her tray and heads for the disposal chute. The MIRApad follows in a hover to continue the call, some of her crew mates barely disguising looks of relief as she heads out. Yellow hesitates before jogging after her.]
Yellow: "Hey wait!!"
[Cyan, startled at being called by one of her former friends, stops on a dime and turns around.]
Yellow: "Um- are you- gonna be okay?"
[Cyan is a bit shocked at the question. She doesn't respond.]
Yellow: "I know we- or, anyone- haven't really talked much, since... well, everything. Considering it was a lot to deal with, I- I guess I thought I'd just ask..."
[...Cyan appears baffled. She blinks a few times. They- or at least, Yellow- still wanted to talk to her...? Yellow was always the optimist.]
Cyan: "I- um. Y-yeah, I- I don't know. Maybe. I think so."
Yellow: "Okay... well... you still have my ID on your MIRApad, along with Captain Black's and everyone else's. Feel free to ping me if you need anything, alright?"
Cyan: "...thanks, Yellow."
[Yellow nods and heads off to return to their own tasks before turn-in. Cyan, still caught off guard by the interaction, leaves the cafeteria to ignore the stares from the others. She remembers the active call on the MIRApad.]
Cyan: "...I'm hoping things get better, Blue on Polus. Maybe soon I can earn back their trust."
