when he had lost his sight, reconnecting with the force had been very difficult for kanan to do. a mental block more than anything else. he had returned to the fight without hesitation, trusted in the force and in ezra to be his eyes. but ezra... wasn’t here. a painful thing to swallow, something that he wasn’t sure that he was actually managing to do. but he could trust in the force, in the teachings that master billaba had taught him all those years ago. it made him want to be here, to help stop the past from repeating itself. being present at the temple made him feel that way, even if there’s something... odd about it. it was too quiet. certainly the jedi didn’t get into some of the rowdiness he had found himself falling into after its fall, but this was something else. “it doesn’t feel right here, without the younglings, does it?”
