Rather be Exiled
@blue-fluff-elf A lot can be said about Todd Tolansky, also known as the Toad. Much has never been positive. Todd has gotten used to it over the years. From even his own mother to bullies in school to the general population, Todd has heard it all about him. That he is ugly, a freak, disgusting, sickening, useless, so forth and so on. It doesn't bother him anymore. It's being called a monster that gets to him. Worst when his own kind is doing it. Fellow mutants. When the world went to hell and those with supreme power took over, Todd did the only thing he knew how. He adapted and went into servitude. He didn't care at the time as long as he survived. Now he regrets it. As he looks at what seems like endless rows of slave pens, he regrets it deeply. Even more-so when he is left looking eye to eye with a former ally. Someone that he knew in his younger years. Someone he looked up to but was not able to follow. Again, he regrets this. He's done. Done with the regret. Done with being the monster. Which is why he is here in front of that man he once knew. He isn't steady on his feet though. The blessing that is alcohol. He moves right to the barred door and then sluggishly leans against it. He makes sure the keys to the pens are facing the once known Avalanche. The arm around his neck was no surprise. Nor the hit to his head that made everything go black. No, he wasn't surprised. His plan worked.
