idea 282: Blue Source

A miner miracle.

I was commissioned by the band and the design company Blue Source to create images specifically for the sleeves based on work of mine which the band had already seen. It was during a period when I was doing lots of ethereal and dreamy photography. I can't remember the exact circumstances, but I seem to recall that having heard some of the album on a promo tape, I was pretty much left to myself to come up with the ideas for the images - and having done this, I went ahead and did a couple of shoots. I did one session with a female friend of mine for the album cover - and one of a couple of single sleeves. Both shoots were done in studios in London and the band were not present. Having selected the shots with the designers, Blue Source, we presented them to all three band members at their studio head quarters by the Thames in West London. It was great to meet them all - especially as Heaven or Las Vegas was one of my favourite albums. The shots were well liked and were approved much to my relief! http://www.spirospolitis.com/
