As chance has it ... a few posts back you saw some horrible pixelated early digi-cam pics of The Migthy Nepean with some abseilers - from 1999.  Fast forward to 2011, and here is The Mighty Nepean from a very similar spot just on the edge of the Blue Mountains National Park and Wolrd Heritage Area.  Must have been winter, with all those woolies and scarves.

And remember - this is Australia ... there are no fences and big drops!

Up close with the flannel flowers ( Actinotus helianth) in the Blue Mountains, West of Sydney, NS. If you look closely, you can see their lovely green tips. And yes, for all you overseas people, the petals feel exactly like really thick, soft flannel.
