ROUND 2!!! Tanny has half the beds made for the greenhouse YAY!!! . . For those interested we are using 3in x1in x 2.4m stud pieces because up until tomorrow they are £3.25 each at @wickes noooo I’m not sponsored or affiliated just informing those look for cheap wood to make beds with. . . Some days Tanny and I just want dinner. Today was one of those days. Yup Toad-In-The-Hole with Mash and Onion Gravy. . . Is it Pinterest worthy? Nup Is it Insta worthy? Does it really matter? What it is is real… it is the sign that 2 people are exhausted… too exhausted to eat. . . It’s a sign that those 2 people even though one tries to eat as plant based as possible sometimes just have to deal with what they have. . . Everyone has a day and Tanny didn’t get home until 5 to 6pm after leaving for work at 4am. As for me I was up at 3.30am and have been editing everything I possibly can to try and catch up. Before stopping everything to make dinner and have it on the table for when Tanny got home. . . What he found was an almost made dinner while I was struggling to use the potato ricer and was close to tears. . . That man proceeded to drop his bag and come straight to me and take it off me and finish the job. No words … just actions. Some days that’s all we need. . . At least we have dinner for tomorrow all made. Tanny made us brekky this morning. Supporting local producers and local business is important to us and we do so as often as we can afford to. . . Yesterday Tanny was doing his Saturday morning run and stopped at a wonderful butchers in Penistone. Where he picked up Dry Cured Bacon and Tomato sausages you see here. Which can I just say OMG!!! AWESOME!!! . . He’s also picked up Cumberland Sausages and a couple of Pork Pies for later in the week… as well as the Huntsman’s Pie I showed you yesterday. . . I have been experiencing extreme executive dysfunction the last couple of weeks. . . Basically I couldn’t get my work done … any of it. Every little change to routine made things worse. Today though there’s seems to be a small glimmer of coming out of it again. . . Garlic, ginger and soy cabbage with noodles. The first time I’ve properly cooked in that time. . .
