#bloodb

So I still don't think you can make the case for it being good but I will admit I was a bit narrow minded in my view of what it could do. One person suggested blood clots in the comments of that blog even and I will admit I'd mostly been focusing on how it is portrayed rather than, yeah, it's control of blood.

So some of the things I missed was that it could probably be used for a form of dialysis, as a way to stop bleeding during a surgery or a way to remove the blood from the body like suction does for us, it could help blood that is having problems flowing through the body and...

Still pretty limited overall. A major problem for it is that the only times it's really necessary is if the blood is OUT of the body. Otherwise, waterbending already heals and probably can take care of things like blood clots. It's not like it's only surface level wounds. MAYBE you could say that Bloodbending is so powerful as to allow for more powerful forms of healing but that feels doubtful given the spiritual and physical properties of it. Like I said in my first blog, Bloodbending mostly goes against the literal themes and spiritual concepts of the show.

They make for a good surgeon's assistant and I guess would be the best ever at drawing blood but it's still limited because it's ONLY blood. However, this wasn't even what first brought it to my attention as being stigmatized. I suspect people who are trying to say it's good actually aren't taking it from my perspective, where if you compare it to other forbidden magics it is just much less useful and much more horrifying at a base level, but instead working backwards from wanting to say the person who introduced us to blood bending is justified.

Like I said in the original blog, it came to my attention first because people were trying to whip up outrage about this victim of oppression having figured it out in desperation was villainized merely for the methods she used. That Bloodbending's origin was actually noble and justified so boo on the show for having demonized the style. The problem with that is that it implies the ends justify the means. It's why I ended the blog stating that if the point is to free oppression, things like the church and what not claim to fight for the greater good all the time. The hawks in the US pushed for the Atom Bomb as a necessity. They believed they were in the right. That they had no other options.

Does that make what they did right? I argue no because your methods DO matter. Flatly. See you next tale.

These people also like to ignore that the Bloodbending woman didn't then go on to liberate others but to kill innocents and that THAT is her crime. It's not like Katara is ever treated as tainted for having learned Bloodbending besides by the psycopath who wanted to see their twisted art form continue to be used. I'm just saying that their point is essentially flawed on pretty much all fronts, though it's not like I've heard a lot of the argument.

Braclet blood and blade

Os Abernathy não necessariamente paravam de transitar aos domingos, mas especialmente naquele, o turno era do outro motorista. Ao entrar em seu apartamento, Dominic afrouxou a gravata da roupa social e jogou o blazer de mal jeito sobre o braço da poltrona. Pensou em chamar por Dave, era um hábito, mas bem sabia que seu primo não se encontrava em casa principalmente naquele momento, por conta o horário. Após o susto na universidade, apesar de felizmente vivo, ele não ficou com menos tarefas, aliás, duplicou-as em questão aos danos feitos por aquele incidente, pois com certeza acidente não era. Questão que ele teria de rever com o primo nos próximos dias, já que não haviam achado pista alguma sobre aquilo, ainda. Algo que era de extrema importância ao ver deles, e poderia ser finalmente um ponto de partida para o começo de investigações mais aprofundadas.

Olhou mais uma vez em volta do apartamento, nenhuma surpresa. Nem sinal de Éris Soren. Que havia ficado claramente bastante irritada com a falta de controle de petulância de David, e simplesmente sumiu, sem deixar modo algum  de contatá-la. Talvez devesse ter ficado realmente ofendida pelas palavras proferidas por Dave, mas na mente de Dominic, para alguém que aparentava pura determinação, segurança e estigma de superioridade, fazia não aparentar que o ego não poderia ser ferido tão facilmente ao ponto de fazer com que as próprias necessidades fossem deixadas de lado, contudo, sempre haviam contradições em relação as suas suposições e a falta da presença dela deveria significar que estava lidando com destes casos. Seja como fosse, era lamentável que Éris pudesse não aparecer novamente, não precisavam dela de um modo geral, mas seria bastante interessante ter um suporte além de Dave em questão de trabalho, e Éris também poderia ser uma peça do quebra-cabeça da cidade. Realmente uma perca de informações provavelmente valiosas, deveria lembrar-se em demonstrar seu descontentamento para com seu primo em relação a isso quando este chegasse. "Pode me procurar" ela havia proposto, mas como?

Enfim, em algum momento deixou os devaneios de lado para voltar à realidade e fazer algo de útil. Porém, infelizmente, com a falha das questões recentemente repensadas, era difícil prosseguir com algo efetivamente. Cogitou ceder por suas obrigações como caçador, insistir novamente, mas já havia tentado pensar em todas as maneiras em como fazer algo realmente certeiro. Caminhou pesarosamente até o sofá, sentou-se e bufou de frustração. Precisava pensar em algo, não podia se acomodar, deveria pensar em algo, talvez houvesse perdido alguma brecha nas pequenas informações até agora, talvez investir em algo...

Dominic olhou para a mesinha frágil de centro da sala, procurando pelo controle do aparelho de televisão, numa tentativa quase inconsciente de tentar fazer com que assim como o silencio de seria extinguido pelo barulho do aparelho, a falta de coisas das quais se distrair apenas por um segundo faria com que ele parasse com aquele surto de pensamento acelerado. Porém, ao invés do controle, encontrou um envelope juntamente a um objeto levemente reluzente com uma mancha escarlate. Franziu o cenho, encarando aos objetos sem se aproximar para pegá-los, tentando processar as informações que encontrá-los ali deveria significar. Éris fora a primeira a vir em sua mente, mas quando saiu da zona de conforto para verificar o que realmente era, recuou sobre sua suposição. Uma arma, uma adaga, semelhante a de David, estava ao lado do envelope mas havia algo com de errado pois estava ensanguentada. Permaneceu encarando aos objetos, tentando entender.
