Has the Blood+ hype died down after so many years? :(
I’m screaming about Blood# but seems to me like people stopped talking about it so long ago. ;-;
Blood plus fans, look what I got 😍 blood 丼!
My many polite posts requesting people do not try to engage me in discussion about BLOOD# seem to be continually ignored. So I’m saying this one final time;
I do not wish to talk to you about this novel.
I will not summarise it for you.
I will not spoil it for you.
I do not like this novel.
It took a gigantic shit on the characterisation from the original series and did absolutely no justice to Diva’s daughters. Solomon, a character I detested in the original series, has been utterly thrown under the bus of plot contrivance and if you start me on Adam/David I will scream. (Seriously I hatehatehatehatehate what they did with him. HAAAAAAAAAATE.)
The only good thing that came out of that book was knowing Julia cured Lulu and she’s still awesome (the one spoiler that isn’t infuriating).
The ending of the television series is the end of the franchise for me. Everyone fought hard and the surviving characters were able to live relatively normal lives. In BLOOD# this is all thrown away (for nothing) and I don’t want that for them -- especially not in the circumstances the book presents.
Also there’s like a whole past thing about the Nazis in it (elaboration on elements hinted at in the TV series that I truly do not give a fuck about) and frankly, I’ve got better things to do than remember the time I wasted reading that crap.
So yes, I ask you kindly to please stop inboxing me about this book.
Why can’t I get daily messages about the things that I love instead? :(
Don't know if anyone still searches this tag, but something has been bothering me for a while now.
So, I tried doing some research on the new novel that came out years ago, and I'm very confused about a couple of things.
What happened to Joel? One Korean page said he died, though Adam denies this. The rough translation of the novel that was posted on the wikia states that he had no children of his own. The same Korean page said that David (dark-haired boy) was his son and therefore the 7th Joel who refused to take the reigns of Red Shield (hence why he goes by David). One Japanese review of the novel said they were sad after reading Joel's last words on the very last page. This is strange to me because there's artwork of the new characters and old ones, and Joel has a different hairstyle and visible wrinkles around his eyes (he would be in his early 40s at least since his page says 26+ and the light novel states he's in his mid to late 20s).
What about Julia and David's kid Adam? Isn't Adam really a certain character who was resurrected? It would make sense if he was their son given his features. Whereas David could easily be Joel's kid.
I don't care for spoilers as I have no plans of purchasing and translating the novel myself as from what I've read so far, it is a huge disappointment.
Thanks in advance.
