Betas, in this ‘verse, are very close to the typical human, in one sense that they experience Anosmia, or the lack of being able to smell Alpha/Omega pheromones very strongly. There are instances where Betas can catch whiffs of pheromones, such as an Omega in their pack being in dry heat, because the Omega is releasing pheromones so strong that Betas can smell it faintly.
