Having been away from the online world for a while I’ve missed a couple of pop-culture milestones. 

I’ve received a few questions in my ask box that run along the same lines, so I’ll succinctly reply to what I can:

I am looking forward to WW. I will not see it online for a whole lot of reasons. However, coronavirus cases in the UK are way too high to hit the theatres (or the pubs). Still, it’s WW (and there’s nothing else on) so it will be on for a long, long time, and I’ll probably be able to see it in theatres in a few months, after I’ve been vaccinated (the NHS has a priorities list, and I’m in a low-risk group so I expect that will happen after the New Year).

I’m not up to speed with anything Marvel related. Other than Black Widow that is. So if you have any questions about WandaVision, or Captain America, or Hawkeye etc, I’m afraid I’m not up to speed and I can’t help you out. 

I wasn’t joking when I said I’m done with the MCU. I no longer feel engaged with the stories they tell, and I feel morally obligated to no longer support what is clearly a toxic environment both in terms of content, and in terms of industry standards. Marvel’s CEO funded Trump. Disney in general is currently killing the rights of workers and artists. They’re engaging in what is clearly a have my cake and eat it too situation, where they perpetuate bigotry behind closed doors and imitate the more palatable liberal values on screen, and I’m just tired of it all. 

Having said that, I’m glad that a lot of you out there are getting excited about these stories and I hope you’ll enjoy the content and have something to look forward to. It just isn’t my cup of tea anymore, that doesn’t mean that it can’t be yours :)

I will continue to post stuff about Natasha Romanoff, not the new Black Widow. And I’m really sorry about that. It’s cool that lots of you are excited about it and I hope she’ll be awesome. This really isn’t because I don’t think Florence Pugh will do a good job but because like I said, I’m just not interested in the MCU anymore.

And with that I’ve covered most of my bases! I’ve been reading the new Black Widow comic run and I have a lot of feelings about it so far, so that will be the next rant on schedule!

There was this time where I got hate from an anon telling me that this blog (youngbugandtonystank) was taking protagonism from another blog and they told me it was unfair that ‘youngbugandtonystank’ was doing this. 

They don’t know I run both accounts.

And yeah, sometimes it’s tiring but I like it, so you have to fully commit to it if you want to do it. Sometimes I get messages from stans asking me if I’m dead or something. I’m not lmao I just have too many things to do.

Hello to all my lovely followers!

With the current crisis on Tumblr, I thought now was as good as a time as any to ask this of you guys...what do you think of my blog?

I ask this because I’m kind of at a crossroads. As most of you book bloggers would know, maintaining such a blog requires a lot of energy, time, and not to mention motivation. And right now, the motivation in my case is...somewhat lacking.

This is where you guys come in. Firstly, I want to know what you think of my  blog. Be honest in your responses - I’m ready. What do you like? What don’t you like? What would you change? Is there anything you would like to see me post on this blog? Is there any advice  you can offer?

I’m hoping that your replies will give me some ideas and hopefully spark my motivation again.
