false eyelashes: how to make fake lashes more comfortable
no matter how glamorous you may look, thereâs nothing that puts a damper on your night quicker than heavy false eyelashes that weigh down on lids. (or worse, lash strips that pokeâouch!) not only are they incredibly uncomfortable, one slight misstepâaccidentally rubbing your eye, dancing up a sweat storm or spilling tearsâcan result in embarrassing kinks, or worse, lifting & peeling at the corners. but thatâs where blinkbopâs ultra lightweight falsies come inâŚ.
all of blinkbopâs fake eyelashes are carefully designed using premium featherweight fibers that wonât weigh you down. theyâre also engineered with durable yet ultra-flexible lash bands that perfectly mold to the shape of your eye, so you have better control when applying. obviously some styles, by design, are lighter than others, but overall, blinkbopâs lightweight eyelashes are so airy and comfortable, you might even forget you have them on.Â
here are a few pointers for ensuring the most comfortable wear:
-measure & trim. fit is crucial to comfortâa mere millimeter too long is the difference between all-day comfort and feeling like you have sand in your eye. to measure, hold the strip to your lash lineâthey should stop where your natural eyelashes end. if theyâre too long, carefully trim the outer corners using cuticle scissors.
-nix glue gunk. if youâve worn your fake eyelashes multiple times, chances are there may be glue buildup on the lash band. not only is it an instant giveaway that youâre rocking falsies, they add extra weight to your lashes. to remove, start at the center and gently peel buildup away from the strip, working your way to the outer corners. be very carefulâyou donât want to mangle the lash band.
-follow your natural fringe. this may seem obvious, but apply fake eyelashes along your natural lash lineânot closer toward your inner corners (which will poke your eye) or further out from where your natural lashes end (which look really fake).
-flex the band. to ensure a perfect fit, ârollâ the band a few times while youâre waiting for the glue to get tacky. flex it back and forth, helping to create a curve for a more natural, effortless fit.
