Happy 80th birthday to tremulous-with-emotion personification of old-school showbiz, “triple threat” (singer / dancer / actress), resilient diva, sequin enthusiast, Oscar winner, Studio 54 habituée and Betty Ford Clinic survivor - Liza “Jazz Hands” Minnelli (born 12 March 1946)! I didn’t have high expectations for Minnelli’s new memoirs Kids, Wait Till You Hear This!, but judging by the excerpts I’ve read, it may well be genuinely juicy and revealing. (It can’t help but be better than the appalling ersatz AI “dance track” / EDM club banger she released recently!). Throw some “Fosse moves” today in Minnelli’s honour!
