You really didnât have much of a reason to jump universes or timelines anymore. Your own was pretty much handled. Perfect, youâd say. All the kid needed to do was finish. So why were you still observing others like there was something more you could do to âfixâ your own? Maybe it was just habit. Maybe it was just paranoia. Maybe it was Maybelline. Regardless, you were here.Â
You supposed it helped clear your mind. To see other timelines fail was just useful information for things to avoid. While successful timelines were... hard to watch.
You wondered how much it must hurt to have that torn away from you?
Not the time to think about that now. This timeline seemed pretty standard. Nothing new. Nothing to note. Every touch, smell and sight seemed pretty on par for the norm, which was a good sign, you thought.Â
Hell, this timeline even had your old sentry station stacked with your usual assortment of condiments. Now you just... was that Doggo? And... the kid? You could see her shaking (From cold? From fear? Or were you just imagining it?), and the blind dog making a valiant attempt at doing his sentry duties. Itâs not your place to save them, Sans, you remind yourself. Just go.
...
Oh, whoâre you kidding? You couldnât, in good conscience, just let this slide.
âHey, Doggo, buddy,â you called, immediately grabbing the dogâs attention. âNothingâs there, my canine compadre.â
Doggo started to tell you that he definitely smelled something here, but you quelled his worries easily. Almost rehearsed.
âThe coldâs getting to you, I think, buddy. Why donât you grab something from Grillbyâs to eat? I can hold your station until then, donât worry.â
He seemed surprised, but thanked you. Had this timelineâs you never done anything for the royal dogs? You canât say youâre surprised. Youâd always been too lazy to yourself. As he walks away, you looked down at this kid. Sheâs different, you could tell that much. And you wondered briefly if she could tell the same for you? Surely sheâs met her own... you by now. Whatever. You already dug this grave for yourself, thereâs no turning back.
You pick a hand up and tap a finger against your teeth, trying for a âshhâ motion. Didnât need to risk the dogâs hearing to pick up on anything.
You bent down slightly, digging a bony finger into the snow, and carving letters into the ground.
âcan you write?â Signing would work, too, of course, but honestly, what were the chances of the kid knowing that? Slim, youâd think.

âNuh-uh, itâs a good one."Â Excellent rebuttal from the child.
âYouâre way nicer than like half the monsters down here, for real.â They were bitter about being attacked and nearly captured, and werenât ready to forgive for it any time soon.

(The flower spreads his leaves to show exactly how big monumental is - which is not very, because of his size.)
*I dunno, just any huge power can change things for real. I think. What if you could pick one, any one, whatâd you choose? That is, if youâd pick anything at all.
*Iâd myself get lyca...lica... uh, werewolf-ness. Because it is awesome.
SEND đ TO LEARN ABOUT SOMETHING THAT BUGS MY MUSE [Closed]
[putting them all in one post to save some space.]
1. One thing that bugs Sans are people who canât take a joke and take themselves overly serious. He doesnât mind if someone has a different kind of humor, or doesnât like bad jokes. However, what seriously irks him are people who canât laugh about themselves, not ever.
2. Itâs kind of hypocritical of him, but Sans also doesnât like liars. Heâs good at people reading and will generally know when someone isnât telling the truth. Perhaps, however, thatâs exactly why he has such a distaste for dishonesty. Trying to lie to Sans is probably a waste of time for both parties involved.
3. I think something else that bothers Sans are people that donât think things through. Sans is a future oriented person (usually) and as such always takes the possible outcomes of his actions into consideration while making a decision or a plan. Yet, this is also why people that make rash decisions and fail to see the bigger picture can get on his nerves at times.
4. This should be obvious, but he is also irked by people who act inconsiderate towards others. That isnât to say he thinks everyone should get along, or hold back with their opinion only to appease the other; however he really dislikes people that have no regards for other people than themselves.
5. Sans dislikes being told what to do. Call that one childish or cocky, it probably is both. Also, chances are, that he wonât do what heâs been told to do unless he sees a reason behind doing it, as well.
6. Scientifically inaccurate scifi movies or books. This one is just a slight annoyance to him, but he might make a snide remark here and there while watching these. If he cares enough, that is.
