BLESSED IS HE WHO TAKES DRINK WITH THE LADY. Teatime was a privilege, awarded to servants who spurned interest with their diligence. Anything less than their best effort was never tolerated aboard The Maw, much less incompetence, so as to stand out amongst even those vying for their mistress’ attention ------ what skill! What dedication! @blindarmed had truly earned his reward!
The Lady, allowing herself to remain bare faced in Roger’s company, was one who took special care of her workers. For creatures so twisted, so ugly, so unbelievably inferior to herself... She admired the efforts they took to meet her expectations. Her poor, poor, adorable possessions, trying to make do with the misfortunes God had given them. It could make her smile. It could make her vomit.
There was the sound of lavender tea being drunk, slowly, as was polite for a woman. The clink of a cup being set upon a saucer. And, finally, her voice, ever hypnotising in its melody.
âťťRoger-san... Are you happy being my employee?âťž
