"Found a new animal in my yard apparently it’s a Southern Blue blind snake also called the Brahminy blind snake and he and his family are good boi’s for protecting my garden and greenhouse (plus home by extension) from termites. Cause I had been fighting those termites for months now and they only started going down substantially when these guys started showing up and after some research I now know I can thank these little subterranean eyeless snakes 🐍."

Some updates and going ons
For the potential hatch timeframe.
Some garden some updates
There's been regular 34*f below, there was ice on and under the tarp i pulled today.
Some plants have sadly been frozen over and killed. I covered the tomato as best i can to protect it.
Pulled this carrot, we had a good laugh about how it reminded us if the radish spirit in spirited away.
I pulled some of the tarp back and started working on a wild seeded zone and a plain row for some Cucumbers (armenian, our fav producers)
In the random seed mix i put
Fennel, dill, sage (broadleaf), Cilantro (slow bolt), basil (dark purple, Italian large leaf, sweet), mullien, lemon bee balm, sunflower mix (variety), marigolds (from a friends garden), calendula (pacific beauty), a few carrots (homegrown), white goosefoot (lambs quarter) a couple okra (from a friend's garden)

A western blind snake, ive only seen 3 or 4 of them in about 15 years.
Their very pretty upclose
They startled me while I was working on cleaning up what was left of the tarped off bed. I moved them to a finished garden bed and covered them with a little dirt.
One of the hummingbirds we see visiting the feeders. Happened when i tested the new watering lines. They took a lil bath and it was super cute to watch. There are a few hummingbirds now who visit.
The roadrunner I've seen a few times finally posed long enough to be photographed!
