I need someone who knows more about how TV works to decode the phrasing?!? Because part of me wants to hold out hope that Supriya might return in s4, and I’m so curious if the reason the phrasing is so carefully “for season 3” and “after season 2” is because there’s a good chance her character would be written back in following a fellowship year but they can’t say that because s4 hasn’t been greenlit yet. Or if this is just a weird way of saying she’s out of the show indefinitely, regardless of how many seasons they end up making.

I knew it was possible since Samira Mohan is so clearly unhappy in so many aspects of her life, is having the day from hell, and her plot is focused on deciding what’s going to happen next. But MAN IT SUCKS to see it in print. She is one of my favorite characters and there is so much more that could be done with her story. And I’d honestly love it (for her as a character who feels real, not for me as an audience member who wants to watch a favorite character on a show) if she could go off and find herself in a fellowship and then get hired back in a role at PTMC with a healthier sense of who she is as a doctor and the respect she deserves.
