mushroom arepa and avocado fried egg arepa; corn fritters; and beet salad at blend 111, vienna, va. lovely sunday brunch - the beet salad was my fave, bursting with flavor and ginormous blackberries and roasted hazelnuts. the mushroom arepa had fried plantains so was both savory and sweet. the fried egg arepa needed more oomph - the salsa helped a bit as did the tangy salad chockful of ripe yellow gooseberries.
