...you, at first, struggling to fit into the quaint shop and the family that resides there. In between the two children, a father, an extremely tall nanny, and the fun aunt that pops in and out, it felt like there was no room for you.

- As a result, the first day you moved in was extremely awkward, but not nearly on the same level as how chaotic the next morning was: 

- When you woke up to the sight of Urahara practically zombie-walking around the house, Jinta chasing Ururu up and down the hallway, and Tessai screaming at them while Yoruichi was just licking herself in the corner, you quickly learned that their family wasn’t perfect and you don’t have to fit in perfectly either.

...Jinta and Ururu taking an immediate liking towards you; with some weird black magic, they managed to get along around you. In his usual, random moments of wisdom, Urahara said it was because you seemed to be able to love them in two distinct ways, so they have nothing to fight over.

...Tessai, however, taking you under his wing more that anything else, and having you take care of the shop alongside him.

...it taking no time at all to learn exactly why Urahara is so open to humoring anyone who shows up on his doorstep: he has way too much time on his hands. It’s a wonder how he’s always so tired when sleeping is all that he does; though, after you moved in, he seemed to enjoy being awake more.

...your main job at the shop being to act as the man’s pillow most of the time; and also acting as the reason for Tessai punching Urahara when his perverted side tries to make a move on you. An example being that he continuously tries to get you to wear sexy secretary outfits while working retail, even when you point out that one of those things is not like the other.

...you finally getting used to the familial, warm atmosphere of the shop but it mostly coming from Urahara’s sweet comments like, “Oh, how nice it is to wake up to such a beautiful face every morning,” or “Food tastes better with company.” 

- Obviously, this would make the others get justifiably angry at him, Yoruichi even scratching him for the insult, but he never stopped.

...your favorite part of living with him being that you are able to see all kinds of sides to him, and you’re able to use the ‘totally secret’ basement whenever you want, including the occasional picnic and training session with Urahara.

...your true initiation into the family being when they finally give you your signature weapon, like Jinta’s bat and Ururu’s cannon. 

...so, so, so, so much hovering. Shunsui is generally a very clinging boyfriend and husband - not in a bad way of course - but once you got pregnant... oh good lord.

...him being so unreasonably jealous over the fact that you’re able to feel every kick and movement in your belly, so he’d use as much time as he can to touch your belly and feel it for himself, his face always morphing into that lovably stupid expression when he’d feel a bump. 

...him loving to rest his head on your belly when he’s hugging you from his chair, listening closely for whatever sign he can find of the “mini-you” you’re growing.

...you probably being the more realistic of you two, with him constantly cooing at your belly and talking to the baby before it even developed ears; you’d point this out and he’d joke, “Don’t question my methods to become the favorite parent.” 

...him loving to be the little spoon more than usual, so that he can fall asleep with his head against your belly.

...he’d go out of his way to help carry as much of the burdens that come with pregnancy as he can, like messaging your feet, carrying you to a nice warm bath in the mornings, making (extra) meals, convincing Yamamoto to give you the days off whenever morning sickness got too bad, and in general just being even mushier than normal.

...him stocking up on so many weird foods and junkfoods and revealing the supply whenever you got to spend more time together.

...him not being too sure how to react when you’re more emotional from the pregnancy, and just hugging you and making you laugh at his desperate move, no matter what situation it was.

...him wining that you can use him as a body pillow, yet not complaining whenever you need to use your actual body pillow to get more comfortable, and simply wrapping his arms around you from behind.

...oh good lord, so much cuddle time; I mean to the point where it would cause actual strain in your relationship and you would need to take a week or two of space.

- Yet, it still won’t cause you to leave him completely, and instead, once space-time is over, you’d walk back into his room, smile at his always-sleeping face, and lay down next to him once again.

...so many times of him yawning, picking you up, walking to his room, and collapsing back onto his bed with you on his chest, that it’s pretty much become a warning sign of “run now or forever hold your peace.”

...him having a surprisingly low libido. Because of how he carries himself, you expected him to have a very high one, but he’s mostly uninterested in that kind of thing. 

- When the time does come, he’s always very considerate and gentle, but even then, you mostly get interrupted by a bored Lilynette. His annoyance from her interruption seems to be the only sign that he’s at least somewhat interested.

...you almost immediately becoming a mother to Lilynette when you started dating Starrk. You knew that she was technically his other half, not his daughter, but as soon as she found out you two were in a relationship, she’d start dragging you away to go play with her or even get jealous when Starrk takes all your time from her.

...there being times when she’d get annoyed with you for taking all of his time, but it being very rare.

...you being one of the few anchors who has kept Starrk sane - even you have noticed that Starrk had a type of darkness growing in his mind, and his lack of enthusiasm for life was proof of that, but whenever you were around, it was muted.

...you being afraid that he’d eventually grow bored with you, as he does with most things, and the darkness will explode in size, but that time never came. And he was very direct about how it never will.

...your relationship being scarily honest and pure. Despite using most of your time together to literally sleep until your head hurt, you two were very communicative: as soon as you ever thought there was a problem or thought about anything for that matter, you’d just voice it on the spot and talk about it. Most relationships should work like this, but I mean to the point where it was just “thought in, thought out.”

- You were taken aback by this habit of Starrk’s, since it made him just boredly blurt out that he liked you the moment he realized it, but it was a habit that quickly grew on you. It, however, took you a while to realize that Starrk just didn’t like the energy it would take to inevitably fight over unsaid feelings.

...you two seemingly living in a whole different world than the other arrancars; it was almost as if you two were simply “crashing in the castle for the night.” He knew he’d have to fight for Aizen when the time came, but honestly, neither of you knew anything about what was going on, and you didn’t care to find out.

...you not knowing he was the strongest arrancar when you first became interested in him, and really, when you found out, it still took you a few weeks to believe it. If someone would insist that he really was that powerful, you’d just laugh, insist he’s too lazy to be that strong, and move on.

...a lot of failings on his part; being a more aggressive person, he’d approach you full-on, but as soon as you’d shy away, he’d stammer and falter, and Yumichika would spend the next hour making fun of him for it.

...him never really figuring out how to approach you, but with Yumichika always cheering him on, he’d still try to send you the occasional smirk and flashing bald head, but yet again, you’d blush and turn away and Yumichika would laugh uncontrollably.

...him going out of his way to duel the other squad members when you’re around, or secretly trying to get you to visit Squad 11 when he has planned to duel, just so he could show off in front of you.

...it taking a while before he realized he has to treat you more gently - at least, when he’s approaching you - but being unsure how.

- Somehow this got leaked to a few members in the squad and Yachiru took it upon herself to teach Ikkaku how to be ‘as sweet as sugar candy’. Sufficed to say, the lessons didn’t last long.

...him getting frustrated and finally just going for it; after making sure no one was around, he very carefully started a stereotypical conversation with you. You first expected another direct, brash comment, but was pleasantly surprised when he just stayed his mellow self. 

...him not necessarily being sweet towards you, but without a better word for it, he was gentle and open. It wasn’t easy for him at first, but when he saw how strong you were behind your shyness, it became all-too worth it.

...him making sure to always acknowledge you in a room from then on, even if it only meant for Yumichika to start teasing him about it in front of you, or him straight-up telling you before a duel, “Be sure to watch me during the fight - you don’t want to miss seeing my victory.”

...oddly enough, seeing him make a fool of himself so many times being what made you comfortable around him.

...him often inviting you to duel with him, too, but always going easy on you - that’s the type of flirting that worked for him, and it wasn’t hard for you to notice.

...him still trying to ‘woo’ you with his cocky grins and shimmering bald head, but it just making you chuckle to yourself most of the time, which in turn makes him break character and chuckle, too, and just leads to Yumichika groaning at the sappiness and walking away. 

...him being pretty open that he’s trying to win you over and making it very clear that he thinks he will succeed, but you never being completely convinced, because you’ve seen how unsure he can be about defeating Kenpachi - he’s not as egotistical as he pretend to be.

...him still trying to show off around you, but most of his flirting just consisting of him dragging you along with him and the others and treating you as one of the team; Kenpachi couldn’t care less, Yumichika eventually stopped bugging him, Yachiru is Yachiru, and going drinking with them helped you be a bit more social.

...all-in-all, what you learned was that Ikkaku sucks at flirting, but he didn’t really need to.

...oh my god, so much bragging on her part - poor Hitsugaya - and her constantly gushing, “Oh my, did I tell you what they did this morning!? It was so cute!” And it’s usually about the most mundane things. Also, yes, she has told the listener about it - they don’t have time to stop her from telling them again, though.

...her constantly sneaking out of the barracks to go see you; at the start of your relationship, you thought she was only using you as an excuse to avoid paperwork, but you slowly realized she didn’t need to leave her post to avoid paperwork - she would do that either way.

...you quickly becoming better at holding your breath, because suffocating you between her breasts seemed to be her favorite thing in the world.

...everyone still expecting and being afraid of her natural flirtations for the first few weeks, but eventually being less paranoid about it, because she knows it wouldn’t be okay to do while she’s in a relationship with you. She still avoids work, obviously, but does it without bribing anyone. 

...lots and lots of PDA - she can’t resist hugging and touching you whenever she gets the chance. More times than you care to count, squad members will find you two asleep on a random couch, where she had dragged you off to cuddle. 

...her being a very understanding girlfriend, despite how childish she can be; she’s always there to console you, listen to you, or just hold you when you need affection. 

...her loving to take her work-avoiding naps with her head on your lap, but when you’re cuddling, she mostly enjoys you using her chest as a pillow, smiling to herself as she gently pets your head.

...your relationship going pretty fast. She has always had a true air of understanding and kindness towards everyone, so it’s impossible not to immediately fall into her love with everything you have.

...her loving to do sweet things like bring you candy, go on walks together, go to amusement parks in the world of the living together, shop together, buy you cute and cool outfits, and generally just spoiling you.

...whenever she’s abnormally busy for long time, she would crawl into your home by the end of the week like some dehydrated carcass in search of water, and whine at the verge of comical tears, “Please... need lovings.”

...despite her childly nature, she’d actually be very motherly towards you, loving to give you sweet head-pats and kisses on the cheek.

...it being incredibly rare for captains to get a full day off, so you both savor it; sometimes, when he’d slack off at work (which is always), you would visit and cuddle with him for a few minutes, but it wasn’t the same as being at home with each other for an entire day.

...him being perfectly glued to your side the entire day, most of the time just wrapping his arms around your waist, snuggling his face into your stomach, and resting against your warmth while you’d hopelessly run your fingers through his hair.

...you always planning for you two to get stuff done - clean your home, do the dishes, make sure to tend to the garden, be productive - but he will never let you escape from the bed or the couch while you’re cuddling. 

...you sometimes wondering if he’s literally recharging his battery through skin contact, with how much happier he would look the next day. 

...him just loving to touch and feel you, as if to stock up for the next few busy days - at least, his definition of busy days - away from you.

...his hands sometimes traveling too much or him sometimes becoming overly touchy, to the point where the both of you would end up in bed for the entire day, but shockingly, it barely ever happens.

- despite being the flirt that he is and despite you two having your moments between those busy days, you enjoy spending the free days just holding each other. Even if that meant Shunsui practically gluing himself to you with that adorably stupid expression and you inadvertently pulling him behind you everywhere.

...Ukitake knowing that, if Shunsui was busy for a long time, that his day off is going to be spent with you, and him always teasing Shunsui about it. Shunsui obviously just agrees proudly and brags about how sweet you are, with his usual grin, but Ukitake finds it endearing, compared to how much of a playboy Shunsui used to be.

...him using your lap as a pillow for a nap, no matter where you’d sit down to relax or think. You’d complain about how he definitely can’t be comfortable, but then he’d just grumble about how it was your fault for not wanting to stay in bed.

...you loving to see him with his curly hair draped loosely over his shoulders, unobscured by his kasa, out of his tent of a uniform, and just moving casually around your home.

...him obviously noticing this and sometimes “forgetting” his formal look at home when he gets back to work.

...the head captain always getting furious and trying to deny you two your days off, because you’re always late for work the next day - Shunsui was great at convincing you to stay in bed for a bit longer.

...the realization catching Ichigo off guard, but also not entirely - he always thought his lack of attraction to girls was because he was too busy taking care of his family. Then, you came along.

...you not being a part of his team when you transferred to his school in Japan, but after saving you from a hollow once, and seeing you try to defend a defenseless soul while also freaking out about what was happening, his eyes couldn’t seem to stop finding you in every room.

...him first considering the fact that it was because he was curious about you being able to see souls, but it didn’t take too long before he knew better.

...him eventually talking to Chad about it - that is, if Ichigo putting it in ambiguous sentences until Chad says it bluntly counts as talking - and feeling relieved when Chad answers with something as simple as, “Makes sense.”

...it not stopping Chad’s knowing looks when he catches Ichigo staring at you, though.

...Rukia not being nearly as subtle and always (in good nature) teasing the colour into Ichigo’s face, and repeatedly trying to get him to just talk to you; she even went as far as to constantly bug and distract him about it while he’s trying to defeat a hollow. 

...Tatsuki even confronting him about his staring at some point and giving him a good, solid, friend-like punch on his shoulder; she was over the moon, to finally be able to admit to him, too, that she likes women.

...these interactions between the four of them becoming routine, until one day they all froze at the sight of you finally walking over and demanding to talk to Ichigo - it took Rukia kicking him in the back, for him to follow, though.

...him being slightly disappointed but also relieved when you confronted him about his spiritual activities rather than his feelings - he had been so distracted by his crush that he forgot you must have seen him, too.

...him denying everything, but you not giving up and approaching him again day-after-day, which quickly made him happy with his decision to not say anything; he still kept denying everything, until you finally approached a hollow on purpose and he had no choice but to out himself to save you.

...him being happy that you starter hanging out with him and the others, until Orihime did her unfortunate, usual thing, “Aw~ You finally told him! Have you kissed yet? Ichigo must have looked so serious!” Poor guy looked like he was going to pass out.
