I’ve been rewatching BLEACH and normally I’ve been skipping the Illustrated Guide omakes; but then I got to episode 337, and after everything that happened between Byakuya and Hitsugaya towards the end of the manga, this omake is just became adorable and hilarious!

As a refresher and for people who haven’t seen it, the Gotei 13 captains have to stay at Kukaku’s due to the reigai invasion. Toshiro remarks to himself that he’s heard and seen Byakuya go out in the middle of the night but has no idea what he’s doing; all he hears is sound of wood-cutting. In the end, Toshiro concludes that Byakuya must be training in the woods. However, the camera pans up to reveal that Byakuya was actually building this behind Kukaku’s place:

Let’s put aside whatever reason Byakuya decided to go out and build a giant Wakame Ambassador. Can we just appreciate that Toshiro looks up to Byakuya so much that he thinks he trains in the forest at night and doesn’t see the very gigantic, VERY OBVIOUS Wakame Ambassador. He even gives him this look when he concludes he was training:
