A little talk about Blayde, Dozers emotional intelligence & how this episode handles "friends to enemies"
I love this episode. The way Dozer and Blayde are depicted is awesome.
I have talked before about how smart Dozer is on emotional level, but this episode shows it even more
I love the fact that they used Dozers knowledge of Blayde. You can see that Blayde and Dozer know each other first of all. Dozer is clearly familiar with her and Blayde is familiar with him. The episode is literally about the fact that Blayde knows Dozer too well for him to attack her because she knows the way he fights and think.
Small details that hint at it:
Blade invades Dozers personal space multiple times
Blayde doesnt go up to Ty much, she hits Skya at one point and she leaves Ton Ton alone too a lot. Ofc she harms them but doesnt get up close. Even when meeting Ty first she kept a fair distance. But she really enters Dozers space and fights him up close a lot. She gets all up in his face, strikes her horns over his, she grabs his tail at one point, she gets next to him. She invades Dozers personal space noticably much because she knows he hates that.
Its clear in the show that Dozer values his personal space. In the race episode he tells Downdraft: "youre in my personal space." Often when trux get very close to him he backs away. In the Wind episode he gets fidgety and stressed and frustrated because he doesnt have his own space. Dozer doesnt like it when people get too close to him, he hates that.
Blayde clearly enjoys annoying Dozer by coming way too close for comfort. Not only that, she taunts Dozer, she tries to intimidate him by doing something she knows he doesnt like. But she also knows Dozer doesnt take shit from anyone and he's just gonna slap her back if she slaps him. So instead she is straightforward.
Dozers reaction to Blayde
Blayde fights him, she doesnt bullshit him, she just does what she wants to do and doesnt waste her time. Thats why Dozer gets annoyed by D Structs so much, because D Structs is mindlessly destructive and never has a clear plan, so Dozer goes into attack with him every time. Dozer knows when someone is being sincere with him and when not. Dozer is good at telling when someone is prepared and when not. Dozers intelligence is often overlooked, but he is smart.
Dozers way of responding to danger:
D Structs is not clear in his plan, just attacks, talks a lot, and is very bark, not that much bite and a lot of bullshit. Then, Dozers response is to fight, because he knows D Structs is not prepared, and that D Structs will give up and go away.
Blayde does not talk much, she does not fight to intimidate, she gets in his space to intimidate. She tries to walk over Dozer by violating his personal space and trying to manipulate him instead of attacking him or hurting him, because she knows Dozer attacks when she attacks. Then, Dozers response is to wait, because he knows its a silent attack. He can tell what shes trying to do, but he knows her so he isnt falling for it.
Thats another difference Dozer can clearly tell. D Structs fights to intimidate, Blayde does not. Blayde keeps her fighting tecniques secret until she needs to use them so that no one knows her next move. She intimidates by getting close, not by displaying her strength, because she knows that by using her strength on Dozer shes gonna be fought. By entering his space he will back off and thats what she wants. She wants Dozer to back off and Dozer doesnt back off if you fight him. Dozer immediatly picks that up, and mirrors it, by not fighting, just like her. He knows not to fight her. They are both so smart for this. Blayde knows how to get Dozer to back off instead of fight, but Dozer is onto her and doesnt fall for it.
Then theres the fact that she knows Dozer doesnt think straight when he fights. She keeps him still and waits with fighting because she wants to knock it into Dozers head that she owns this ground and she is stronger then him. We now know that the way to do that is to get in his space. So that when she finally takes him on, he gets so angry that she can take him out easier. Because Dozer is not scared to fight. And thats his weak spot. He gets into fights easier then is safe for him. Shes riling him up and trying to set him up for defeat.
Look at the way Dozer is looking at her. She is trying to intimidate him but he's reading her out. He thinks, "i know what youre about"
I love it when Dozers intelligence is put on display. I love the way this episode is done and Blayde was an awesome villain in this episode. So of course her personality had to get absolutely butchered in later episodes
Dozer is so smart. We should have seen more of Dozers intelligence. Because i genuinly think he is on emotional ground the smartest of the team. He has brains bruh dreamworks appreciate him pls
dinotrux headcanons
just spouting random nonsense
D-Structs is colour blind (Protanomaly- red weak), which is how he managed to mistake Skya for a tree that one time.
Revvit is gay but he's too focused on work and builds to realise it.
When Ton-Ton was a kid he would hang out with the Dumps who were like older, "cooler" teenagers
Ty talks to himself a lot. I'm pretty sure it's canon actually i forgot-
D-Stroy acts like he's cunning and smarter than D-Structs, when really he is a complete idiot and has no idea what he's doing half of the time.
Click-Clack's panic room is only comforting for him because one time, when he was a baby (or whatever the reptool version is), his mother dropped him in a pile of bolts by accident and he hit his head and somehow made it comforting for him.
Skrap-It has made multiple models for D-Structs, trying to woo him, but D-Structs is oblivious as fuck, plays it off as Skrap-It trying to get into his good books, and smashing the models.
George is high the entire series. Like, genuinely stoned.
I used to think Blayde was lesbian or something, but I've come to an epiphany and realised she's actually incredibly homophobic and there is unfortunately nothing we can do.
Splitter and Pounder are gay for each other and let's just say the latter isn't called Pounder for no reason.
Back in his herd, Dozer would kinda be that cool uncle who always babysits the child dozeratops.
uhm thats all for now
Chat, how would you feel if I make Blayde a sibling, a younger brother to be exact?
Something that always bothered me is when Blayde or whatever her name is got introduced, she became a villain because of d structs because he stole their food or something and then teamed up with him 😭?? Like what r u doing girl

Remember that tim Gorge beat the living crap out of Blayde, and probably out did Dozer on dozing
I wanted it to happen between Dozer and Blayde, the same thing that happened between Shira and Diego
In the beginning, they have the same energy. In terms of their stories, they are really similar.
