Illya glanced up towards the sky, frowning to herself. She hadnât heard that there was any rain in the forecast today, but it certainly looked like clouds were rolling in. And she hadnât brought an umbrella, lovely; though that had been because she hadnât thought it was going to rain. Well. Shirouâs house was across the bridge, too, so she was more than likely to get wet no matter what she did.
How unfortunate. She grimaced, giving the clouds another pointed look--how dare the weather decide to spoil her plans to go shopping for stuffed animals, when that was what she did on a lot of days anyways--but started heading up the street. Most of the people had already cleared out, and by the time she was making her way past the park, it was all but deserted.Â
Naturally, that was when it started pouring. The white-haired homunculus hissed under her breath, scrambling for shelter under a nearby drooping tree, though admittedly it wasnât the best shelter. Considering how hard it was raining, it wouldnât be a good idea to go all the way back to Shirouâs; it would take too long, and going out on the bridge in a thunderstorm was just asking to be electrocuted. But the mall in Shinto was much closer, and there she could at least look at stuffed animals while she waited for the storm to let up.
She futilely squeezed some water out of her hat before plunking it back on her head, squinting out into the rain. It didnât look like it was easing off any, so sheâd just have to run and hope for the best. Hopefully she didnât end up running into anyone. She gave the stormy sky one last look, watching the lightning dancing across the clouds, before ducking out from under the treeâs branches and racing across the muddy ground, thankfully keeping her balance and not falling flat on her face. If she had been paying attention to anything other than the rain, she mightâve realized that something definitely unusual was going on.
