the  way  that  bokuto  believes  almost  anything  is  one  of  kuroo's  favorite  things        ;            he  can  tell  him  the  dumbest  shit  and  he'll  think  that  it's  the  truth.              he's  done  it  more  than  once  before  and  gotten  an  edge  in  as  far  as  games  go      ;          and  more  importantly,  he  loves  the  way  the  guy's  eyes  light  up  when  he  thinks  he's  being  told  a  secret.            bokuto  is  a  strange  character  that  isn't  for  everybody,  but  they've  been  close  since  their  teams  had  started  doing  camps  together,  and  it's  just  never  faded.              fingers  twitch  slightly  before  they  begin  the  steady  thrum  against  the  counter  once  more,  eyes  flicking  back  to  watch  the  rain  dappling  the  window  panes.            his  ramen  sits  untouched        ;        for  a  change,  his  appetite  feels  like  it's  gone  with  the  weather  and  he  is  almost  desperate  with  the  need  for  it  to  stop.            he  hates  days  like  this        ——        they  feel  like  far  too  much  of  a  drag  for  him  to  fully  get  his  feet  underneath  him.

grin  comes  easy    ;      it's  always  been  so  damn  easy  to  watch  the  way  that  fury  crosses  utahime's  features.          the  fun  of  it  starts  to  wear  off  over  the  years  though  the  more  that  he  realizes  that  her  fury  is  actual.            that  this  isn't  the  little  friendship  that  he  thought  that  they  had      ;        instead,  there's  a  real  bite  in  her  tone  that  makes  him  uncomfortable.            it  gets  worse  after  he  loses  suguru  fully     ——      when  his  death  haunts  his  conscience  every  single  night  when  he  attempts  sleep.            he  has  so  few  from  that  time  anymore      ——      shoko  is  off  in  her  own  world  with  her  own  missions,  and  she  is  coated  in  so  much  death  that  satoru  makes  a  habit  of  staying  away.          utahime  teaches  at  a  different  school  and  her  nose  turns  up  whenever  they're  together        ;            he  shows  up  at  karaoke  and  she  looks  as  if  someone  has  soured  her  saki.            but  he's  been  attempting  to  be  better      ——      it  doesn't  come  easy.            satoru  is  used  to  the  masks  and  hiding        ;        he  doesn't  know  how  to  be  something  else,  especially  when  it  comes  to  her.

⋮✧ 𝐈𝐓'𝐒 𝐀𝐋𝐖𝐀𝐘𝐒 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐋𝐈𝐓𝐓𝐋𝐄 𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐆𝐒 𝐏𝐄𝐎𝐏𝐋𝐄 𝐓𝐀𝐊𝐄 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐆𝐑𝐀𝐍𝐓𝐄𝐃 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐓 𝐀-𝐘𝐄𝐎𝐍𝐆 𝐀𝐋𝐖𝐀𝐘𝐒 𝐇𝐄𝐋𝐃 𝐂𝐋𝐎𝐒𝐄. The small stuff one didn’t realize   they missed   when they were too busy running from one thing to the next. It’s what   their music preaches   after all. Taking stock of what you have in life in order to   fully appreciate   it. There was a time where it wasn’t   so easy   though. When it was all too easy to get swept up in all the things you needed to get done. But sometimes that was when it was even more important to appreciate those moments. Sitting on the roof of LE’s headquarters. Everyone had already   gone home   hours ago. But the two of them had decided they could use a little moment of heaven.

It always seemed that way when   they did   get to catch a glimpse of the sun waking the world.

Lips curl into a   soft smile   and a hum followed soon after when the sentiment lands   in the quiet air   of the morning. As if they too realized that it had been a long time since they said they had done such a thing. Their lives   really didn’t   allow for much time to appreciate the things they should...did it? ❝It had to at least been *the nineties* for me. Or maybe even before that...❞ A-Yeong shrugged, choosing instead to focus back on the view that put paintings to shame. One of natures   most beloved   of art forms, and one that was always there...That even someone like A-Yeong was known to forego enjoying when they really should stop and   take in.

❝I’ll admit...I’ve never seen anything so beautiful.❞ The mused   deep in thought.   Eyes glued to the colors molding and fading into a   brilliant gradiant   and one that would likely never been seen the same way ever again. Mother nature’s special little love note to the two of them in that moment. That smile grew some, and they turned to look at their   fellow bandmate.   ❝We should do this more often...Bring out the rest of the band. We need this more I think.❞ Their lives were already   so chaotic   they could afford small bits of peace like this. Right?
