[ ▪ blankmonograph ] The girl was wrapped in mystery. He's usually so good at reading people, knowing and understanding them at first meeting. Yet here he was, sitting across the small round table with a girl he can't quite put his finger on. He leans in, his left elbow resting on his thigh and his right hand playing with the straw in his drink. Maybe he was confused because he didn't know whether or not the girl knew who he was, or who he really was. The girl had suddenly plopped down at the table with him despite the fact that there were so many open tables in the tea shop. He opens his mouth to say something, but closes it. He's having a hard time thinking of what to say, and to be completely honest, it's a bit nerve-wrecking. But he doesn't show it. He simply smiles at her, offering a soft laugh before he clears his throat. "I don't want to be blunt," He starts off, thinking it was probably the wrong way to start off his sentence but it's too late to correct himself. He just scratches the nape of his neck and keeps smiling. "But who are you exactly?"
