Happy Valentines! May your chalices be cursed by only the finest of lost souls ✨💞✨
Greetings to you on this Day of Love from me, Drunk Wizard Rhett, Apprentice Link, Bav Neva, and Tiki. May you feel the love and snuggliness that Rhett feels when wrapped up in his favorite blanket.
Link loves keeping up with our holidays, and asked Bav Neva to teach him a romantic spell that he could do as a surprise for Rhett.
What was supposed to happen was that when Rhett walked into the dining hall in the morning for breakfast, a big pink heart was supposed to appear in the air and strains of Dean Martin’s classic “That’s Amore” (recommended by Tiki, of course) would play for approximately 10 seconds before the heart would burst into a myriad of tiny hearts, music notes, and the message “Be Mine” before evaporating into the ether.
That would have been lovely, but alas magic, she is a complicated mistress. The heart appeared, the song played… And played… And played, and to be quite honest is still playing as we speak. The giant pink heart follows Rhett wherever he goes, and all attempts to diffuse, counter, or otherwise get rid of it have been sadly, unsuccessful.
Rhett was a good sport about it at first, but by the time Deano belted out “When the moon hits your eyes like a big pizza pie” for approximately the 187th time, he had become quite miffed, to say the least. But he knows it was supposed to be something nice and is really trying not to be a dick about it.
Link feels just awful, of course.
Bav Neva looks very smug, and Tiki swears he heard her chuckle under her breath the last time Rhett came in the library searching for a spell for magical earplugs.
But not to worry, Bavs is getting a little tired of the song by now, and I imagine the spell will miraculously dissolve just in time for everyone's frayed nerves to be soothed with some magical and much needed Happy Hour cocktails in the apothecary.
Happy Valentine's Day, oh fairest of all Blankies! 💕💕💕
