She stared at the other for a few moments. Back home, Sable had been incredibly interested in Black Magic. Her and Mikaela had been calling themselves witches. Though of two different interests, certainly. But had she ever believed in any of it? She spent so much time trying to acquaint herself with the darkness in the world, from trashy movies to crime shows. To black magic and cults. But how much had she truly believed in before she had gotten here?

Probably none of it. Her so-called black magic had just been her cursing people in her bedroom, pretending it would make a difference. But now, her eyes were open. Reality had always been boring and she hated it. Even being here, in her mind, was more interesting. Even if it was bloody and terrifying. At least it wasn't boring as the world sucked all the uniqueness out of you. Here... Magic was real.

Dwight Fairfield's eyes narrowed subtly, channeling a small swallow of the nerves rising in his throat; it was a gut feeling he had. Something wasn't right about this new survivor, and not in a superficial sense. Call it intuition, because the Leader of the survivors was far from sold on the newest number added to their ranks, but far be it from him to get on her case without reason. Being sucked into the Entity's realm wasn't something you adjusted to overnight.

As they walked betwixt the corn stalks of the trial grounds, the Leader looked to the newcomer with a low tone carrying the words gracing his tongue.
