This recipe honors the excellence of wineries owned by black people by adding warm spices to a classic Cabernet Sauvignon. This makes the wine taste rich and aromatic. With the juicy lamb chops that come with it, this dish is a wonderful mix of flavors that will please any palate.
Ingredients: 1 bottle Cabernet Sauvignon. 2 tablespoons brown sugar. 1 cinnamon stick. 3 whole cloves. 2 star anise pods. 1 orange, sliced. 4 lamb chops. 2 tablespoons olive oil. Salt and pepper to taste. Fresh rosemary for garnish.
Instructions: Put brown sugar, cinnamon stick, cloves, star anise pods, and orange slices in a saucepan. Add the Cabernet Sauvignon. Simmer on low heat for 15 to 20 minutes to let the spices soak into the wine. In the meantime, heat the grill to a medium-high level. Add salt and pepper to the lamb chops after rubbing them with olive oil. Grill lamb chops for three to four minutes on each side until they are medium-rare or done to your liking. Take the spiced Cabernet Sauvignon off the heat and strain it to get rid of the spices. Add fresh rosemary to the top of the grilled lamb chops and serve them with a spiced Cabernet Sauvignon reduction. Serve with your favorite sides, like mashed potatoes or roasted vegetables.
