📍 Pamukkale, Turkey @worldbossmisay ・・・ __ Pamukkale meaning "cotton castle" in Turkish is a town with the natural Travertine Terraces. The terraces were formed by 17 thermal springs which flood the surrounding cliffs with water ranging from 35 to 100 degree Celsius. ___ The terraces are part of a national park that also houses the ancient Greco-Roman city of Hierapolis (Holy City) with the well preserved Hierapolis ancient theater and Ruins still in tact. ___ Likewise, the Cleopatra's Pool is a man made pool and was a gift from Marc Anthony to Cleopatra. It is said the water that naturally rises from the ground was one of the ancient fountains of youth. In any event, in the 7th Century, a massive earthquake destroyed the Roman Temple to Apollo surrounding the pool, toppling the columns into the water, where they now remain for visitors to swim around. ___ Black Nomad Tip: The pool is beautiful and provides a nice backdrop for the gram. However, you can't take your camera or phone into the water. But their are professional photographer's swimming around taking photos for a fee. __ Be careful of the columns and big stones although beautiful their sharp and will cut you. I have several scars on my leg because of them and I have keloid skin. ___ The entire park is a UNESCO protected site and Entry Fee is $7 Bucks. __ #blacknomad #blacknomadw #travelnoire #travelphotography #likeforlike #turkey #instanbul #middleeast #europe #travelnoire #travelphotography #blackvoyageurs #blackmentravel #travelgram #travelers #travelbug #wanderlust #wanderer #jamaicanhipster #kingston #jamaican #visitturkey #photooftheday #kubbeistanbul #theguideinstanbul #turkishfollowers #pamukkale #mytravelcrush https://www.instagram.com/p/B1jcjRQjruX/?igshid=ev7h0w9ds7ee
