behind the scenes, week 4 'True Blood'
Good times! :D
Ik heb 'The Queen' geschilderd.
;) xoxo Nikki
Week 1. Song of the storm. // Nikki
When Jeanique e-mailed me the theme for week 1, I never thought it would turn out to be so suitable for what was going to happen to me during that week. I've literally made this work during my own storm. During a sleepless night, in which I saw my own big dark clouds forming. I was alone and in crisis. Jeanique texted me that night if I was ok and if she and Emiel had to come pick me up. I said I wasn't ok but that I'd rather use this mood to work on the project. She adviced me to use these extreme emotions to create something, anything! "You can do this!", she said.
I had this song on repeat during the making of my work. One piece of lyric immediatly drew my attention: "I hope you're satisfied to see the wind blow over me". I've hidden that line of text somewhere on the painting. xoxo Nikki
