I won a meet & greet zoom call with my fave band (walk the moon) & that was cool as shit, I geeked out so hard it was embarrassing. they were all so sweet.
but after the zoom call I went to the middle eastern market down the street and I ran into my crazy abusive ex-step dad who literally traumatized me in high school. I haven’t seen him in almost a decade. I was hoping I’d never have to again. he came over and started talking to my mom & I. I wanted to throw up. Or tell him off. Almost had anxiety attack in public. I’m still feeling not so great. this past year I went through a whole week of back to back severe anxiety attacks bc my brain was making me relive the trauma that he put me through in high school. I really hope seeing him isn’t going to trigger a bunch of shit for me again :(
