since Iâm in desperate need of external motivation to finish, here is a snippet from my fill for Day 1 of @bokatanweek: Aunt Bo
Bo-Katan found herself in a sitting room with a long, low couch and two chairs that she recognized from the Kryze Stronghold on Kalevala. Satine stood between the couch and a coffee table laden with breakfast foods, trapping a small, chunky toddler against her hip with one arm around his waist. With her free hand she was sweeping what appeared to be powdered sugar out of his strawberry-blonde hair, all the while the boy giggled like an adorable criminal.
âLook at you,â Satine sighed. âPastries are for eating, Korkie, not for wearing.â Giving up, she set Korkie back down and raised her head, looking directly at Bo-Katan, who shrank back instinctively. Satine only smiled.
âThere you are,â she said. âCome and have breakfast before the food gets cold.â
Holding her hands anxiously to her chest, Bo-Katan made her way around the couch and sat down in one of the chairs. Korkie was sitting on the couch with his legs in a V, his hands jammed between his thighs. He grinned at her from ear to ear.
âHi!â he exclaimed. âIâm Corgi!â
âKorkie,â Satine corrected automatically, settling back down.
Bo-Katanâs heart did flips in her chest. âHi, Korkie,â she said. âIâm Bo.â

Day two of bkk week!  I may or may not have stayed awake until 3 am reading traitor theories, so⌠here you go! Â
Kirishima paced back and forth, his mind racing faster than his feet. Â He chewed on his thumb nail, biting it down to nothing more than a stub. Â He broke that habit years ago, yet right now the action was the only thing keeping him grounded. Â It wouldâve been better for him to keep his mouth shut, but he couldnât. Â Not anymore. Â This was the hardest decision he had ever made in his life, but he couldnât change his mind now. Â This was the right thing to do, no matter what happened.
After many agonizing minutes, there was the anticipated knock on the door.
âYo, I got your text,â Kaminari said when Kirishima threw open the door. Â âWhatâs the bigâwhoa!â
Kirishima grabbed him by the front of his shirt and yanked him inside his dorm room, slamming the door shut behind them.
âDude, are you okay? Â Whatâs wrong?â
Kirishima shook his head.  He resumed his pacing, tugging anxiously at his hair.  It hurt, but he didnât mind the pain.  âI canât⌠Kami, I canât do this anymore⌠I just canâtâŚâ
âWhat are you talking about?â asked Kaminari. Â âDude, slow down. Â Youâre freaking me out.â Â He had never seen Kirishima act like this before and it was unsettling. Â Kirishima ignored him, still muttering under his breath. Â Kaminari stepped in his path and grabbed him by the shoulders. Â âKirishima.â
Kirishima raised his eyes slowly to meet Kaminariâs. They were bloodshot, making his red irises even more pronounced, and tears formed at the corners. Â He swallowed, his jaw set.
âIâm turning myself in.â
Kaminari felt as though heâd been punched in the gut. Kirishima turned away, guilt-ridden, and pressed this palms against his eyes.
âI wonât say anything about you,â Kirishima said quietly, his voice cracking. Â âI promise. But I canât do this anymore. Â The lying. Â Pretending Iâm something Iâm not. Â I-I just canât. Â Itâs too hard.â
Kirishimaâs voice broke and he dropped to a crouch, his entire body trembling uncontrollably.Â
A sharp burst of anger coursed through Kaminari and he pulled Kirishima swiftly back to his feet. Â He grabbed a fistful of Kirishimaâs shirt and brought the boyâs face mere inches from his own.
âWe knew what we were getting ourselves into,â he hissed. Â âBesides, weâre in way too deep now to back out. Do you know what would happen to us?â
âThey can protect us,â Kirishima said urgently. âAll Might, Aizawa, Micââ
Kaminari laughed derisively and let go of Kirishima. Â He moved towards the window, staring out over the grounds of U.A., empty for the weekend. Â âThe heroes. Â You want to run and hide behind them. Â You think they can protect us.â
âThey can though! Â Thatâs their job, to protect peopleââ
Kaminari spun around. Â âNot people like us.â Â He pointed out towards the main school building. Â âItâs their fault weâre even in this situation in the first place. Â They didnât give a damn about my protection when they hauled my parents off to jail. Â Or yours. They stick around long enough to capture the bad guys, but what about the fallout? Â Huh? Â Do they ever think about the kids that get thrown into the foster system or end up out on the streets like us?â
âIf we just talk to them, maybe theyâll let usââ
âTheyâll let you rot in a cell with your parents,â Kaminari spat. Â It had come out a lot harsher than he meant it to be, and from the look on Kirishimaâs face, it hit home. Â Kaminari instantly regretted it, but pushed the feeling aside. Â Good, Kaminari thought bitterly. Â This isnât the time for doubts. Â He needs to wake up and see the reality of our situation.
Kirishima stayed silent, turning his gaze down to the floor.  He clenched his fists tightly, nearly drawing blood.  He was scared.  Couldnât Kaminari see that?  Didnât he care?  If they stayed working for the villains, it would only be a matter of time before their luck ran out and they were caught.  But was it even worth the risk anymore?  All the hatred for hero society that drove Kirishima forward these last few years was washed away after coming to U.A.  The heroes were incredible people, so caring and good and genuine.  And his classmatesâŚ
Images of his classmates, his friends, flashed through Kirishimaâs mind. Â All of them were so driven to become heroes, to do good in the world. Â They had accepted Kirishima without a second thought, given him a place to call home, of new goals to strive for. Â What would they think of him once they found out the truth? Â He didnât want to imagine it, but he couldnât keep lying to them. Â It wasnât fair. Â It wasnât right.
Kirishima wiped his eyes then straightened up. Â He stared determinedly into Kaminariâs eyes, looking for any sign that he felt the same way. Â Kaminari kept his face carefully arranged so as not to give anything away. Â Kirishima slowly extended a hand.
âCome with me.â
Kaminari stepped back in shock. Â That had not been the reaction he expected. Â Hadnât Kirishima heard anything he said? Â The heroes had ruined their lives, made them orphans, street rats. Â Didnât any of that matter to him anymore?
âWe can talk to them together,â continued Kirishima. Â âExplain why we did it. Â Iâm not sure I can do this alone, and Iâm not letting you go back there by yourself either.â
âWe already made our choice, Eijirou. Â Now we have to live with it.â
âNo we donât!â Kirishima grasped Kaminari by the shoulders pleadingly.  âKamiâŚâ
Kaminari swatted away Kirishimaâs hands and retreated to the far side of the room. Â He crossed his arms, silently daring Kirishima to come closer.
âDenki.â
Kaminari jolted at the sound of his name. Kirishima had used it many times before, but never had he sounded so defeated. Â So broken.
Why did he have to bring this up now? Â They were doing just fine. Â No one was going to find out and there was no reason for them to put targets on their backs so quickly.
âWe still have a choice,â said Kirishima. Â âWe can end this right now. Â I know you donât want to do this anymore either, so come with me. Â We can talk to the heroes and they can help us figure a way to get out of thisââ
âWho said I wanted out?â fired back Kaminari, but Kirishima was completely unfazed.
âYou didnât tell Shigaraki we were going to rescue Bakugou,â he replied bluntly. Â Despite being so direct, there was a tenderness to his voice, a carefulness to not push Kaminari too far. Â âYou knew exactly what we were planning and when we were going to do it.â
Kaminari paused.  âI⌠I just didnât get to contact him in time.â
âBullshit.â
âWhat do you know anyway? Â Maybe I like being a villain. Â Ever thought about that?â
âDonât lie,â said Kirishima gently. Â âNot to me.â
Kaminari bit his lip and turned his back to Kirishima. Damn him. Â Kaminari had been having doubts about his allegiance as well, but what could he do about it? Â Shigaraki was much more dangerous to have as an enemy than any of the pros were. Betraying him would surely put a steep price on their heads. Â And who said that the heroes would even take them in? Â They were traitors to U.A. as well. Â Could they survive on their own? Â Just the two of them, out on the streets? Â They had done it before, but never with so many people out to get them.
Kaminari hadnât realized he was crying until Kirishima pulled him into a tight hug.
âItâs gonna be okay,â Kirishima said through his own tears, sounding much more confident than he felt. Â âAs long as weâve got each other, itâs all gonna be okay. I promise.â
âWhatâs going to happen to us, Eijirou?â
âI donât know.â Â Kirishima forced himself to smile in the hopes of reassuring Kaminari. Â âBut weâll be okay, Denki. Â We always have been.â
Kicking off the first day of bkk week with something quick and fluffy! Â Kirishimaâs cute and Bakugouâs in way over his head.
Bakugou wrapped his arms tighter around Kirishima and rested his chin on top of the other boyâs head. Â Kirishima pressed himself closer to Bakugouâs side, nuzzling his cheek against Bakugouâs firm chest. Â Kirishimaâs soft, steady snores filled Bakugouâs room. Â Bakugou lay wide awake, threading his fingers through Kirishimaâs long hair, vibrant even in the darkness of the night.
If someone had told him a month ago that heâd be dating shitty-hair, heâd probably have punched them in the face for being so stupid. Â Yet here he was, sharing a bed and cuddling in the dark with Kirishima. Â His boyfriend.
The word was foreign to Bakugou. Â New. Â Exciting. Terrifying. Â He had never had any interest in relationships before. Â They would only get in the way of him becoming the top hero, and nothing mattered to Bakugou more than that. Â But Kirishima was different. Â He had proven time and time again that he was capable of keeping up with Bakugou, of standing by his side, of supporting him â both in battle and out. Â Until Kirishima, Bakugou never met anyone he considered an equal.
And Bakugou realized it wasnât just Kirishimaâs strength he admired so much. Â It was the way he lit up every room he walked into, his laugh and optimism infectious. Â It was his uncanny ability to say the right thing to keep Bakugou grounded and calm. Â It was his determination to keep his head high and continue fighting no matter how hopeless a situation seemed.
Kirishima was too good for him. Â Bakugou knew that. Â Hell, everyone knew that. Â Everyone except Kirishima it seemed. Â He was so good, so kind, so caring and Bakugou was, well...Bakugou.
âYou okay, Blasty?â
Bakugou started, not realizing Kirishima had woken up. Kirishima gazed up at him sleepily and smiled.
âEarth to Bakugou,â he sang, nudging Bakugouâs side.
ââm fine,â Bakugou mumbled, turning his face away. âGo back to sleep.â
Kirishima untangled himself from Bakugou and sat up. He studied Bakugouâs face for a long moment and then started scooting reluctantly towards the edge of the bed.
âI know you arenât really use to this thing, so if you canât sleep, I can just go back to my roomââ
âNo.â Â Bakugou grabbed the back of Kirishimaâs tank top and dragged him down to his side. Kirishima smiled. Â He curled up all too happily, and Bakugou rolled over so the two were facing each other, almost nose to nose. Â Bakugou closed his eyes, hoping Kirishima would get the hint that he wasnât interested in talking.
âHey, Bakugou?â asked Kirishima quietly.
Bakugou grunted.
âCan I kiss you?â
Bakugouâs cheeks burned. Â He felt Kirishimaâs intense gaze but refused to meet his eye. Kirishima waited patiently for an answer, his fingers playing absentmindedly with Bakugouâs hands. Bakugou clenched his jaw and dared to open his eyes. Â Kirishima grinned.
Bakugou grunted again.
Kirishima leaned in and pressed his lips gently against Bakugouâs. Â Bakgou would never admit it out loud, but he really enjoyed kissing Kirishima. Â He wasnât the first person Bakugou had ever kissed, but he certainly was the best. Â His kisses were soft, affectionate. Â He focused completely on Bakugou, and asked for absolutely nothing in return.
âHappy?â asked Bakugou when they broke apart. Â âNow go back to sleep.â Â Kirishima simply beamed at him in response. Â Why did he have to be so damn cute? Kirishima wrapped his arms around Bakugouâs torso and snuggled back up. Â Bakugou resumed playing with Kirishimaâs hair once more, scratching his nails gently against his scalp.
âBakugou?â
âWhat.â
âIâm glad you gave me a chance,â Kirishima said earnestly. Â âI honestly thought you would blast me when I asked.â
âI honestly thought about it,â Bakugou replied. Kirishima laughed and Bakugou knew that would quickly become his new favorite sound. Â Kirishima moved even closer against him and nuzzled his head against Bakugouâs chest.
âThank you,â he whispered.
Bakugou squeezed him gently. Â âGo the fuck to sleep. Â Weâve got class in the morning, dumbass.â
âOkay.â
Bakugou held onto Kirishima tightly until the redheadâs snores filled the room once more. Â Bakugou was way in over his head; he knew that. Â This was all new territory for him, but he wasnât scared. Â Not as long as he had Kirishima by his side.
