Forget starter dolls. Tell me about the starter-avoid dolls (legit only). The dolls that are absolute nightmares out of the box. The dolls that are terrible posers. Dolls with faceups that look nothing like the ads. Dolls with quality control issues. Dolls whose resin is a sensory nightmare. Haunted dolls.

I'm incapable of just plopping my dolls down whenever I'm not playing or photographing them. I need to put them in a natural pose and fix the hair and the clothes. Even if I'm just taking them out of a bag at the beginning of a meet up and still digging for more stuff from the carrier: the doll needs to be posed first! They're all posed on their shelves at home too, of course.

My favorite body aesthetic in dolls is M1racledoll. I love the organic design of the bodies. Downside is that they are very heavy and not great posers. My favorite dolls by posing are D0dollsdream girls, in all size. Even though the aesthetic is not really my taste, the colors and the poseability make me love them.

I'm not good at creating doll characters, so I'm usually creating it based on the sculpt expression or the body. A doll is on a body that won't hold a pose ? Their character is stubborn and will stand their ground no matter what. Another one poses like a dream ? Their character is a sweet person that avoids conflict.    

dear doll, I love you, but your pose like shit. I can't even suede you cause you have these weird "locks" in your joints.

Why do people always suggest Iplehouse when suggesting dolls? Every time I see someone ask how they pose, everyone who owns one says they pose like shit...what's the appeal of having a doll that doesn't pose well?

fairyland fans be like 'these dolls are the BEST posers in the hobby, they are unbelievable!' while DD and Obitsu fans are just like 'sure jan'.
