i'm late to the character meme but i Want To Know: jack miller!
What I like about them: his doggedness! the way despite what he says, his actions say ‘In Fact I will Do Things (Which are None of Your Business) and Keep on Doing Things No Matter What. Because Fuck You.’
What I dislike about them: not a dislike more of a :(( but his defensiveness & unwillingness to be vulnerable with another person. jack please heal a little im begging
Favourite moment: off the top of my head when he’s like ‘it sounds like it’s talking to itself’ about the gas bubbles popping in the ice. like he’s so Uptight about appearing a Certain Way in front of these ppl but his :D at the natural world around them overrides it here. all these moments are the best
Least favourite moment: when he trips over isaak and breaks the alarm clock then he’s shouting/kicking at isaak :(
A situation with this character that I want to see explored more: i think jack + his mum(and the social conventions and expected life course of middle class suburbia that she represents) is a very interesting one, as is jack + his own healing in a fix it au (because what does that mean you know! not jsut shipping-healing)
An interesting AU for this character: au where he finds a way to carry on with his interest in science (and meets The Gang!) that doesnt involve a doomed trip to the arctic but does involve The Massive Chip on His Shoulder. or au where he heals via stray cat!
A crossover: statement of jack miller, regarding abandoned expedition to gruhuken in svalbard, norway. original statement given november 25th, 1957. audio recording by jonathan sims, head archivist of the magnus institute, london. statement begins.
OTP (or OT3+ etc…. just… favourite ship): jack/gus rip
Other ships?: jack/hugo needs to be said!
BROTP: jack and isaak n_n one man and his dog!
NOTP: jack/ghostie, if that’s a ship
An assortment of headcanons!: he’s left handed, he likes trifle, has never met a book he hasnt dog-eared and cracked the spine of then felt ashamed to have done both in his life
