#bitter rant

So okay, officially no Ripto in the new Spyro Grand prix. 

They’d better add him in a future Grand prix.

Along with racing tracks from the 2nd and/or 3rd game. 

Does anyone even like Gnasty Gnorc? My only assumption as to why they added him is that the whole thing seems to be centered around the first game.

I’m not even a fan of the track tbh.

I’m just bitter.

Miss me with the “he doesn’t know, he doesn’t run/write the show!” bullshit.  Cameron’s the one that brought Mickey up, if it wasn’t his place to do so, if Noel’s return wasn’t in place, if no one honestly knows, don’t bring it up in the first place.  He’s been on that show 10 goddamn years now, he knows what’s up.  He knows “Ask Noel” is not a thing that gets anyone results.  How dare he throw him under the bus like that?  

This is what he told The Hollywood Reporter yesterday:                                       

"I took some time away and talked to showrunner John Wells about possible things we could do with the character in the future and we go to a place both creatively and financially where I felt comfortable coming back. Much of that had to do with what we are going to do with the story. I'm excited to go back and do that."

So, they’ve had discussions about where Ian’s story is going and have agreed upon it.  And last week, in his verbatim quote to the Chicago Tribune, he said there was only one reason he’d go back:

“If I was to return back, it would be to do more Mickey and Ian stuff.”

But now he’s backpedaling and here’s what E News (and others) reported he said (and couldn’t say) yesterday: 

He also could not say anything about the return of Mickey (Noel Fisher), who was last seen in prison with Ian.

"That is a question for Noel and the producers," he said, but "worrying" about Ian and Mickey is "not the right way to say that."

As for what Ian is in for in the final season, Monaghan said that he hopes to see something a little different for his character.

"I think that now we've really torn him down. i think it would be really interesting to see him, instead of just looking for a relationship or resolving relationship conflict to instead be working on himself and focusing in that capacity," he said. "So I'd like to see something outside just him searching and being single and hooking up with people, that kind of stuff."

Sure, Jan-when was the last time the show let ANYONE be single, let alone their one LGBTQ character?  

And surely there’s no way he seriously believes the show is finally going to give him an interesting storyline again, after all these years of giving him absolute garbage to do?  Just admit you’re going back because they offered you a buttload of cash, Cameron-the honesty would be refreshing-and something no one would hold against you!  But to act as if you’re coming back for noble reasons (”more Mickey and Ian”), or because they’ve reignited your passion for this character that the show destroyed the day they shot the scene of Sammi shooting at Mickey-no one’s buying that.  

And now I’m saying what he did was Mickey baiting-had he never brought him up, we’d all be in a holding pattern waiting to see.  He stirred up the hornet’s nest, and don’t ask Noel, ask Cam, he’s the asshole that brought it up.  After blocking any messages that included “Noel”, “Mickey”, “Gallavich” when his “swan song” aired.  Cam actually invoking the name last week carried even more weight than it normally would have, since he’s so studiously avoided it for years.  

He literally doesn’t have substance. He doesn’t have a background, doesn’t have a proper characterization; doesn’t have particular skills, talents, traits or characteristics defining him both as a person and a three dimensional character. He is not needed by anyone specifically, he doesn’t have a well-built psychology like any other secondary character and he has never been important to any storyline. He is just the definition of a “white bread” kind of character, and for twenty-three episodes he has always fulfilled exclusively the role of an obstacle. And this Special only added to him exagerated screen time without providing him any character depth anyway. He is completely inconsistent and has always been a mere background character to fill in a single major storyline, like Jela is for instance (and frankly precisely because of this he deserved exactly Jela’s same amount of screen time). He is just a rich, kind man, and a stereotypical perfect husband. That’s it, end of the story.

ugh i’m trying my hardest at the moment to lose weight, i’m eating better and less; drinking less and exercising more. and i’m enjoying it and i’m feeling better both physically and mentally than i have in years. and i’ve lost a stone so far and it keeps coming off.

you’d think my mum would be a bit more supportive :/

i told her i was going to start going running and i was going to start couch to 5k with the aim to be able to go on runs with jack. and instead of being interested or proud that i’m actually trying to achieve something, she just says ‘don’t get obsessed with running like your dad’ and be prepared for failure.

my dad has lost loads of weight over the years, and has kept it off; feels physically and mentally better and really enjoys running, finds it de-stresses him. so like...what would be bad about being ‘obsessed with running’? i’d be healthier and fitter and might actually enjoy it?
