excitement  doesn’t  quite  match,  quirked  brow  hard  to  fade  as  she  walks  further  in  the  room  ---  there’s  something  strange  in  the  air,  something  red  can’t  figure  out  but  would  consider  dangerous  enough  to  keep  her  senses  alert.    “  i  guess  you  and  i  have  a  different  idea  of  fun.  ”    kids  these  days,  always  feeling  invincible  in  face  of  every  harm.  she  almost  misses  that  feeling  for  a  moment.    “  watch  out  for  anything  weird,  we  might  have  company.  ”

“Violence is easier than everything else.” He’s never talked about it - not in so many words, at least, but he wasn’t about to hide it. Violence was easier than most things, at least when it came to him - easier than pain, than hurt, than facing everything that had ever happened to him. So maybe, perhaps, he could understand what she meant, or at least part of it. “Most people say it’s not a solution. But I beg to differ.”
