1. Age, Birthday, Star Sign
Real age is somewhere in her 50s, but physical age is 27. Her birthday's the same as mine and Mason's, of course π April 7. Star sign is Aries!
Race: this is kinda complicated because she's a natural-born supernatural with a sprinkle of human in her π (part-elf, part-human, half-vampire) she's a hybrid
Ethnicity: her mother has Asian and German roots
Moon Byul-yi β£οΈ she's a Korean artist and rapper. Although everytime I write Mari, I always imagine that it's her voice - deep, husky, and sexy at the same time π and Mari and Byul's personality are kinda the same too (they're both greasy π)

Her grandfather's diary from the Echo World, her two daggers that were previously owned by her mother and grandmother, and she has a necklace that she always wear hidden underneath her clothes (it's pendant was her grandparents' rings)
She likes reading books, polishing her combat skills, binge-watching movies and series (she's old yes, but she's not dead π), practicing her magic (hobbies all done alone)
Mari's guilty pleasure would probably be receiving praises from people she saves right before she erases herself from their memories, listening to music that's so loud it drowns out all other sounds around her, and proving people wrong (try to tell her she can't do something, she'll bend over backwards just to prove you wrong π)
31. What's their current main conflict?
Current main conflict would be trying to get along with Unit Bravo despite their hostility and gaining their trust, along with the Detective.
32. What steps have they taken to overcome their conflict?
Her main step will be opening up a bit about her (as instructed by Rebecca, because she says the unit needs to see and know that they can trust her - and that starts with honesty). She'll tell them about her telepathy (even though there's gonna be a backlash because of this) and her race.
33. How have they changed over time?
She'll learn that there's gonna be people who will accept her despite her mind-reading and the things she's done. She'll learn how to trust and be trusted in return.
35. What are they like as a friend?
Oh, she's gonna be Felix's and Eos's best friend π crackheadβ’ trio that will make Adam age a few hundred years more π though she's like a protective big sister at Eos at times. And sometimes she flirts with her just to annoy Adam and Nate. Felix and her will probably set the Warehouse on fire one day for doing so many random science experiment π with Nate, they'll bond over books and will spend some quiet time in the library (she has those rare moments, yes π) with Adam, they'll be good sparring partners. Adam will teach her not to rely on her telepathy too much in fights because spontaneous movements can counter it (spontaneous attacks aren't planned and thought of, so she can't catch on that too quickly). Will also try to encourage Adam to express feelings more π (and fail). Mason and her will be stargazing buddies soon π
36. What are they like as a partner?
I haven't thought of this yet because I don't know how to connect my angsty middle chapter to fluffy chapters yet π but I think she'll be a chill partner, never gets jealous and will be cool not seeing Mason for days (unlike him, yeah I want a clingy Mason π) but very, very protective and self-sacrificing, much to Mason's dismay
37. Do they have any phobias?
She's afraid to be happy π Mari thinks that good luck's a sham and if happy things are happening to you, then fate will take it back again soon. Although she'll kinda move on a little from this once she settle in with Unit Bravo
42. What's the dumbest thing your character's done?
Probably fall in love with Mason π (she'll say that with a smile tho) and also (kinda spoiler-y), using her not-so-perfect portal (still practicing back then) and ended up near Mt. Vesuvius's crater. And all the science experiments she and Felix will do π
52. How are you and your character the same? How are you different?
Aside from being both bi-disasters, Mari and I share a mutual love for Mason π and I also won't hesitate to kill someone to save an innocent person. Like Mari, I find it hard to trust people too. And like Mari, I'm afraid of being happy too π most of her quirks, behaviors, and habits are like mine (except the practicing combat skills and doing magic π)
We're different because I'm not a 5-foot 7-inches tall woman with athletic build and magic powers π also I don't know how to flirt effortlessly like her π (tho I do in my mind, I'm just channeling that energy to make her dialogues)
54. What does your character want, and what do they need?
55. What's your character's core trait? What's their best trait? What's their worst trait? What happens when these all interact with each other?
Mari's core trait will probably be her need to do good, to be good. She thinks that by doing good things for other people will redeem the thing she did before (her lowest point). And by doing good things, she can fill the emptiness inside of her. Her best trait might be her loyalty (will come soon once she's settled with the unit) and commitment (to the job). When she says she will do absolutely everything in her power to protect the Detective, she's sure as hell will follow through on that. Her worst trait would be her brutality. She's killed a lot and yes, she feels remorse over that, but even if she's given the chance to return to that situation, she won't change what she did because she did that to save lives (although it will kinda lessen now that she's with the Agency). When all those traits interact, it almost always ends up with someone dying, and Mari's guilt slowly eating her alive. It's a vicious cycle. Wanting to do good by saving people, always doing whatever it takes to get the job done, guilt showing up in nightmares, reason to self that it's what was needed. Sleep. Eat. Reset. Repeat.
56. What's your overall goal with this character? Will they get a happy ending or will they succumb to their faults?
I actually started writing her because I need someone to subject to the tragic backstory I thought of π and also I want a kind-of self-indulgent fic where I can romance Mason π I don't know yet if this one will have a happy ending π On one hand, I want her and Mason to be happy but on the other hand, I have too much suffering I've thought of that I want to subject them to π
