dude if i knew i wouldn't have hurt myself in the first place. it's very painful to touch and sleep on so i'm not looking forward to my sleeping tonight again. hasn't been pleasant the last couple of days

Yeah. :/ They really like to happen in the worst moments. If I’m lucky a nap and aspirin will take of the edge in a few hours.

What ISN’T sure to make me cry? *internal eyeroll lol* Emotional moments in books and movies, my own writing, other people’s writing (fic), coming back home after being away for a while, being ignored when I don’t know what I did wrong, seeing someone drift away and not knowing how to fix it, nature, emotional exhaustion, missing people, missing anything. Yeah, pretty much everything.

Earth Song by Michael Jackson. Man, I played it SO MANY TIMES!! 

plaisir (pleasure): your favorite dessert?

I’m not much of a dessert person, but I’d probably sell my soul for Sugar Cream Pie in a heartbeat! It is the tastiest thing in creation.

Calla lilies! Loved them before I knew they were a popular funeral flower, but love them even more knowing that - because I’m morbid.

I guess people should be able to buy whatever they want, but I can’t help being glad that crap like this isn’t sold? There are some ethical issues, I think, with toys and products marketed towards kids, that give adults access to spy on them via video, gps, or anything really. I don’t know…

Yes, and no. Yes, people should be able to buy what they want, BUT they shouldn’t be able to violate the rights of others. Similar problem to google glasses.

In Germany are discussions whether there should be laws that make it explicit that human rights are for children as well and that means that they have these rights against their parents. Right of privacy is one of them and this includes making it illegal that parents read the diaries of their children and stuff like that, it would probably also make it illegal to use tracking devices on your children (that is another sour spot here).

So the doll should be able to be sold, I think if it is obvious to consumers, that this spying can happen (similarly to the way you are warned that you enter an insecure network, where people can spy on you, when you walk around with your smart phone).

Yet the moment children walk around with it and it is misused and used to spy on people, that is a huge issue. Like having it in doctor’s rooms or basically anywhere where you might take your child with you and sensitive data is discussed. Or maybe take it into the cinema and record a movie. ;) The problem is that it is “disguised” and people around are not aware that their privacy might be breached.

How old are you?: 32

Current Job/Dream Job?: I work as a Wine & Spirit Buyer for an hotel chain. And no unfortunately it doesn’t mean I can drink all day. But I do attend a lot of tasting and received a fair amount of wine and champagne bottles as a Christmas present from clients haha! My dream job was and still is Special effects make-up artist for tv and films. 

What are you talented at?: I usually answer ‘nothing’ to that type of question because I always doubt myself. But I’m doing pretty ok at learning languages (I speak pretty much 4 1/2 lol) and photography. 

What is a big goal you are working towards (or have already achieved)?: Well outside my career I’d say be content with what I have, learning to be happy. And traveling more.

What is your aesthetic?: Hum I like post apocalyptic aesthetic. I can’t say it’s what I’m sporting everyday lol but I do like rugged style, used biker boots and leather jackets. Textured and black & white photography, dark paintings, etc. Vintage industrial interiors, etc.

Do you collect anything?: I have a lot of vintage cameras, in working condition or not, I guess I could say I collect them. I’m also a lot into curiosity cabinet/dispays or whatever it’s called in english. I have some cool vintage taxidermy and small animals skeletons under beautiful frames and cloches. It’s not quite a collection yet but I’m working on it.

What is a topic you’re always up to talk about?: Aw man, so many! I love talking haha! Cinema, tv shows, art, my OTPs, feminism, food, travels, etc.

What’s a pet peeve of yours?: I’m usually very late at calling back people or answer texts and messages sometimes. It gives me a lot of anxiety for some reason.  

Good advice to give?: I guess it’s going to sound super lame but my advice is follow your dreams and your ambition. Especially if you are young and still figuring out what you want to do in life. Follow your gut. You want to become a circus acrobat? Go sign up for after school acrobatic courses as soon as possible, try it, invest your time in this. If you believe this will make you happy, go for it. Don’t listen to people telling you there’s not future there, you’re never going to find a job, make money, etc. Don’t. Pursue your dreams and be 100% invested in them. I missed that window a long time ago and I regret it with every fiber of my being. I’m not unhappy now but there’s this question I will never answer and that will make me angry for the rest of my life, what if I had listen to my dreams?
