đź’– What made you start writing?
I started writing way back in middle school, starting with notebooks that I didn't use in class. I'd always have the notebook close by because as soon as I'd finish my classwork, I'd start writing in it (and still looked busy). I wanted to create the worlds I had in my head, and, in my baby hubris, "fix" the endings of certain books I read in class.
That feeling never went away and here we are!
🤩 Who is your favorite character to write?
Hard Question!
Canon characters: Shawn Spencer and Danny Cat. They're both such happy little shits and disasters! Though Spencer Reid is growing on me.
OCs: A real toss-up if I'm honest!
CDD: Paul Aristide and Samuel Richardson, Danny's brother and father in the fic series mostly because neither give two shits about Hollywood and generally do whatever they want. Sam's job as a mortician makes him even more blunt, he's very much a Memento Mori presence to anyone who isn't family and it creeps people and animals out.
Demonverse: Salem of Ozymandias and Caedmon Ó Faoláin, they're such contrast to Shawn and Lassiter, while also being their own characters with backstories and motivations outside their hosts. Very close by is Adelaide of Caritas, she's a nice counterbalance to all the shenanigans, and Grand Liberté, who hasn't made an appearance in person but soon. She's a little younger than Caedmon, but has a similar time abyss quality about her, in which she doesn't really care about humanity save for her progeny, but she has a more active role in maintaining order. Everyone, including Hotch, dreads her coming out of her estate because, like Caedmon, shit has to go sideways hard for her to come out.

Venus In Our Blood:
There was an old newspaper, three months old in fact, with a headline SANTA BARBARA PSYCHIC SOLVES GRUESOME SERIAL KILLER CASE still legible. Johnny snorted, “What a woo-woo town, a psychic solving murders.” He was a man who believed in what he saw and he didn’t see any ghosts.
Sawyer anticipated some dark secrets from someone like Paul or Wade, they weren’t the most forthcoming animals in Hollywood. She didn’t expect Danny to have them, aside from having a mortician father. And in a way, that statement was true: it wasn’t a secret if no one ever asked him about it.
Derek was used to Reid’s analysis, he grew to enjoy them. He especially had fun when those same questions usually left room for him to ask some more probing inquiries that Reid wouldn’t have a perfectly professional answer, “So what’s that thing you’d like to have now, that you can’t normally have?”
Reid wanted to say Some alone time with Hotch, but that answer didn’t just cross the professional line, he’d outright punt it to the next state. “Uh…hopefully accurate population records and crime rate data.”
🤯 What's a genre you struggle with as a writer (ex. romance, action, etc.)?
Romance, because I like building it up and letting it grow, and Action because when those two genres come up, my brain goes "What are words?"
This was fun, thank you for asking!
