Believe it or not these two pics are of the same bird. The top one is when we first trapped this young jackal buzzard, on 27 November 2015, with just a few adult feathers showing through. We retrapped it on the 4 February 2016, just over two months later. The transformation into adult plumage was well on its way. #research #biodiversity #raptors #jackalbuzzard #plettitsafeeling #birdingwithnvt
