Actually I do think seriemas should be considered raptors considering they're the only/closest (?) remaining related birds to TERROR BIRDS?? What does it mean for something to not be considered a raptor through "general parlance"?? In normal conversation like scientifically it is but people talking about them don't include them? I feel like that matters a lot less ???

Independent orgs seem to agree that a Seriema is a bird of prey too! the peregrine fund proposes birds like kingfishers and woodpeckers (coraciimorphae) which.... will take some more convincing from me (though toucans seem to be the most fitting out of the group).
I'm sorry.... they're simply too small and cutesy. It's like a hummingbird
