#BirDiaries 11th May 2019, Today was a cloudy day. I decided to visit Deer Park Institute in the morning - a centre for the study of classical Indian wisdom traditions. They conduct many different programs that are mostly free. The place was quiet and peaceful. It had large halls where people meditated for long hours, a nice dining facility, accommodation at minimal cost for people attending courses, a gift shop, etc. I did not plan anything specific for today. Gayatri and I along with two guys from Zostel all had lunch together at Sasta Cafe. On the way to the landing site, there was this cute little pahadi puppy named Lucky. We used to meet him every day, today we spent more time with him. It was a chill day. We spent some time at the landing site looking at all the students learning to fly. We hung out with people from Zostel, watched the sunset from a roof while having some yummy pakodas, maggi, pancakes, and coffee. When I returned to the hostel, there were some new faces there. People who had come that day were a whole different kind of bunch - basically all adults who had escaped for a weekend from their daily routine. All the new faces were in my dorm and one of them was a cop. We spent a lot of time that night playing games and later discussing the current situation of India. I never had such discussions earlier with anyone. I was glad to know that a lot of people think the way you do. - - #birbilling #himachalpradesh #himalayas #paradise #paragliding #deerpark #dogsofbir #pahadi #sunset #newpeople #healthydiscussion #gamenight #mindfulness #solotravel #takemeback #notawriter #stilltrying #dontjudge #createdonthate #amateurphotography #amateurtraveler #wanderlust #shotononeplus (at Bir, Himachal Pradesh, India) https://www.instagram.com/p/CACx75aDdTF/?igshid=f7fxky8fn96h
