"Could you 've at least been a bit more gentle . . . ?" While she sensed no true malicious intent from the stormcutter, it didn't make the quick drop hurt any less. She'd been deposited almost as if in a hurry, despite the danger being far behind them now.

She was still trying to process what happened. The wyvern had scooped her up and away from the chaos, despite hardly knowing her. Perhaps it pitied her, perhaps it was just trying to help. Perhaps it saw a potential meal, but somehow Mari gets the feeling that isn't the case, hence why she wasn't initially panicking.

Reaching to rub the back of her skull, the rider slowly flips onto her rump and sighs. "Where the heck did you even put me . . . ?"
