Eliminating unnecessary decoration to pursue the ideal sedan form

Royal road rather than fashion

Inoue-kun does not modify his car to make it look sporty, but instead focuses on dressing up his car to make the most of the luxury that sedans have. He finds inspiration from sedan magazines from 3 to 4 years ago, so he is not swayed by trends. He aims for a simple style that is unique to him and not found in other cars.

Inoue-kun's grotesque style has evolved over the course of six years, seeking toughness and power. He doesn't follow trends, but only incorporates things that he is satisfied with.

"I believe that trends eventually go out of fashion. And if you're aiming for a style befitting a VIP sedan, I don't think it needs to have too many flashy elements."

That's why I'm not even paying attention to Eurosport, which is currently in vogue.

"Diffusers and ducts are originally features commonly used in sports cars. We didn't want to include designs that aren't found in domestic sedans."

The current design incorporates the classic VIP style taste while taking advantage of the original shape. The Aimgain aero has a shorter overall length to match the impressive low shape, but the lip part has volume. It is characterized by a protruding shape rather than a modest inward curl.

"To me, VIP is associated with an image of a protruding lip. I wanted something that had a solid, powerful presence."

On the other hand, the body color is also subdued. The base color is the genuine maroon brown, with 100% more pearl. Coarse metallic paint has also been added to give it originality. Still, it is a color that is hard to stand out at an event venue where there are many colorful cars.

"I don't think outlandish colors fit the original image of a sedan. I feel that depending on the color, the car can look cheap."

Inoue-kun's belief is to go the traditional route without trying to be unusual.

Body color and aero processing are

Even if you're a groupie, you still want to stand out at the event, so we'll work on the fenders.

"If we make angular fenders on an angular body, it will look robotic, so we made them smooth."

Since it would look unnatural if only the arch part was inflated, we achieved a natural finish by inflating it from the original breath line running along the side.

"It's obvious at a glance that it's there, but we were particular about making it so that it doesn't look out of place as much as possible."

Also, if you look closely, you'll notice that the grille, door handles, rear garnish, etc. are blacked out. Except for the inner parts of the headlights, the OEM chrome parts have been completely erased.

"If we wanted to maintain the sedan's original appearance, I think it would have been better to leave the chrome plating, but we decided to remove it to create a more streamlined impression."

This blackout effect gives the impression of being even more sophisticated.

For the wheels, we wanted a simple design, so we selected MK Motorsport, which is popular with BMW. The slim six-spoke wheels with no unnecessary decoration are the epitome of simplicity.

"At first I thought of painting this part black as well, but since the design itself is rather understated, I decided to leave it as it is."

This exquisite combination is the source of the unique, sophisticated aura.
