The player is the dad that tried their best to give their children the best of what he can offer even if it's not what his children want

The entity is the mom who actually understands what they want but because of her mental state is also extremely toxic towards her children because of how unstable she is

Oh and I think the entity and the player are divorced that's why they rarely meet and also take turns (the player during the day, the entity at night) and also why the player would intentionally leave her a space so she can take care of the statues/kids
