What have I been up to?
Film photography and vintage camera repair!
This is a 90ish year old Ihagee Exakta, the first commercially available SLR, and a Carl Zeiss Jena Biotar 1:2 5.8cm lens. They would be far beyond my budget, but I rescued them from e-waste, like most of my film equipment. The Exakta had a severely malfunctioning shutter and desperate need for a clean. The lens has a very stiff focussing helicoid, which I don't really need to fix, and a severely scratched front element, which I can't fix.
I'm very pleased with the image quality. Very sharp and focusses correctly, with a nice soft focus from the damaged front element.
