My headcanons for Foldās anatomy, because I am a sucker for gore and speculative/alien biology B)
(How am I supposed to draw gore of paper smhā¦)
(Inspired by Mollusk anatomy, mainly terrestrial slugs and octopi)
-He lacks any skeletal structure, allowing him to be able to slip through small cracks and crevices, so long as his teeth (the only solid part of his body) can fit through as well
-Heās also extremely flexible due to the lack of any fixed/skeletal joints
-His teeth are actually fused together, like a beak, but itās past the gum-line so he appears to have individual teeth
-His papery skin is only the outermost layer, having a tougher, thicker layer underneath that provides the bulk of dermal protection
-Like an octopus, he is surprisingly strong due to being made almost entirely of muscular tissues
-While his thinner segments are able to fold around with ease, the thicker areas are harder to flatten/fold about due to housing vital organs
-In his different forms he will shift around the locations of his vitals to fit his body, sometimes having to compress these organs for his smaller forms, making them harder to maintain for longer periods
-He, like an slug, has a singular lung, which he can expand/contract like a swim bladder to increase/decrease his buoyancy (Submarine vs Anchor)
-His skin, like cephalopods, has chromatophores, allowing him to create moving patterns/images on his skin
-His skin secretes a waxy substance that helps to waterproof his papery outer-layers, maintain internal moisture levels, and increase grip/friction
-Due to his lack of a nose/nostrils, he instead uses his forked tongue to smell
-His blood and tissues are purple/dark magenta!
-For his paper form he just like, clips inside himself or smth, I had realized I forgot about that partā¦
(Thatās all for now)
Hehe :3
