  The shrill ringing of your phone broke the silence. You looked over at Megan with wide eyes.

     “What do I do?!”

     She looked at you like you were crazy. “Answer it!.”

     You shook your head so fast, you got dizzy. “I’m too young to die.”

     Megan snatched the phone, answered it on the last ring, and shoved it back to you. 

     You put it on speaker and cleared your throat. 

     “Hello dear mother of mine.”

     There was silence which absolutely made you shit yourself. 

     “Do you want to tell me why I got a voicemail saying you were being brought to the police station for starting a fight?”

     You scoffed while she was talking--horrible move by the way. Police love to lie don’t they?

     “Did you just scoff at me?”

     “No! No, no. I like my behind being intact. I-I did that because…” You looked to your mama for help but she just shrugged her shoulders. You knew for a fact that once you told Sue what happened, she would probably come here to find the boys and beat them up herself.

     “Because what, (y/n)?

     You sighed and answered. “You promise not to get mad, right?”

     “Depends on what happened.”

     “A guy touched my ass so I kicked him in the balls.”

     There was a very long silence and you couldn’t take it anymore.

     “You take it,” you said, passing the phone to your mom. 

     “What’s the address of the hotel, Megan?”

     “Sue-”

     “No! Megan what is the address?”

     Both of you were hesitant to answer.

     “You know what? Your location is on, I’m coming over.”

     She was going to be here any minute. Everyone on the team watched as you paced and paced. 

     “C’mon kid. Calm down.”

     “I will not calm down. I don’t know whose ass she’s gonna beat. Could be me, could be them boys, could be mama, could be anybody in this room,” you flopped down on the bed next to your mom, “you never know.”

     “What are you trying to say?” 

     You shrieked at your other mom’s voice and went to hide behind Ash. 

     “Don’t kill me please. I’m your only child.” 

     Sue rolled her eyes at your dramatics and opened her arms. 

     “Well would my only child like to come give me a hug?”

     You turned to Ali who was next to Ash and whispered, “What if it’s a trap.”

     Apparently you weren’t very quiet because just about everyone chuckled. 

     You got up and slowly made your way over to Sue and hesitantly stepped into her arms. She wrapped them around you and swayed the two of you from side to side. 

     “You aren’t going to kill me, right?” 

     Your mom chuckled and shook her head. 

     “No. Might kill those boys though.”

     You abruptly broke apart from her as you thought about something.

     “Mane, I didn’t even get to finish practicing my shots. I had a whole plan.” 

     Everyone laughed at you while Sue just pulled you back into a hug.

     You and the team spent the whole day with Sue. You all went back to the court for your protection of course; even though you pretty much proved you could handle yourself.
