And to top off what has been a wonderful few days, I'm now very ill. Excellent.

I am such a failure. I try so hard and work so hard and I just fail. I always end up the loser with nothing. Just copious amounts of fail. What's the point in even trying anymore?

I am back at work tomorrow. What a week off it has been . . . Edinburgh, Dad's 60th birthday, Dad's 3rd heart attack, Scott taking a weekend trip and the much anticipated interview for an opportunity I've been awaiting a while now. I also started organising driving lessons and my Canadian citizenship. It feels good to finally be sorting these things out and moving forward. It's been a roller coaster of a week. It might be nice to get back to normality tomorrow.

Met a friend for lunch today. Had a lovely time. Talked a lot about life and it felt good to have another friend supporting the difficult decisions I'm faced with at the moment. It's nice to have people to talk about life with who don't judge or resent you and that you can lend an ear to as well since you've been in the same or similar boat. It's nice to have company that you can relate to, and who understand you. I feel like my life is probably going to change in a big way again soon, but these friends have helped me see that as a good thing.

Spent yesterday at my parents house. My dad and I watched Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy in the afternoon and then my boyfriend, sister, brother in law and nephew all came round and we had a cracking Sunday dinner cooked by mum and then all played board games. It was really lovely :)

My family planned a surprise for my Dad's birthday and no one bothered to include or involve me and expected I'd just be able to make it and I can't so now I'm going to miss it and I'm absolutely gutted :(

Today I'm off to London to attend the annual 3 day managers meeting. Not sure whether I'm more excited or nervous! I'm looking forward to learning a lot :)

I am going to London next week for a managers meeting for work. I am very excited but also a little scared (mostly because I'm not actually a manager so am worried I'll be out of my depth.) I feel like the staff on Undercover Boss when they are called to head office. PLS DON'T FIRE ME.
