Jack Barty was born on December 31, 1888 in London, England as John Bartholomew. He was a stage & film actor & writer, known for his film appearances in "The Sea Fiend" (1936), "Take a Chance" (1937), "In Town Tonight" (1935) & "Gaslight" (1940) among others. Laurel & Hardy fans will forever remember him as "Jitters" the butler in "Oliver The Eighth" (1934).
Laurel & Hardy met with Barty in late August 1932, after seeing him on stage in "Casanova" at the Coliseum Theater in London.
