I love the Huggies CleanTeam.

Soooo much.

INFODUMP TIME! YAY!

In their first iteration, in 2006, the CleanTeam members were “Alphamals” (animals shaped like alphabet letters) and there were seven members, each in a different color and each pitching a different Huggies CleanTeam product:

Billy Buffalo (blue; bath wash)

Carley Crab (red; cleansing cloths)

Daphne Dolphin (green; detangler)

Freddy Flamingo (pink; flushable wipes)

Henry Hippo (purple; hand soap)

Molly Mule (orange; bath mitts with body wash on them)

Sammy Snake (yellow; shampoo)

The CleanTeam got a revamp in 2007.

The characters were no longer “Alphamals”; instead, they were your average funny-animal characters, except most of them had a body part that was some sort of thing you’d find in a bathroom (more on that later). Molly Mule got hit with Chuck Cunningham Syndrome and was replaced with Wally (the) Whale, who was yellow and peddled washcloths.

Why did they swap out Molly and her mitts for Wally and his washcloths? Your guess is as good as mine.

A few of the members swapped colors too.

Here’s the roster for CleanTeam 2.0:

Billy Buffalo (orange; bath wash; there’s a hair brush at the end of his tail)

Carley Crab (red; cleansing cloths; no bathroom-themed body parts, as far as I know)

Daphne Dolphin (green; detangler; her tail is a comb)

Freddy Flamingo (pink; flushable wipes; his body is a TOILET!!!)

Henry Hippo (purple; hand soap; there’s a pump on top of his head)

Sammy Snake (blue; shampoo; his tail is a shower head)

Wally Whale (yellow; washcloths; his tail looks vaguely washcloth-y)

Alas, the Huggies CleanTeam line was discontinued in 2008.

Kimberly-Clark, I’m begging you…

Bring back the Huggies CleanTeam!
