I must say, for all the alive birds I've seen in my life, I haven't seen many dead birds comparatively. This was an especially emotional moment when I spotted this red-backed fairywren on the road. Like a child who refused to accept death, I had hoped it was still alive. -- I've spent this year doing a "Big Year" by documenting every species of bird I've seen and where I've seen them.
